"easy access to freeway, Perkins across the street"
My only complaint is that my room was right next to in exit, and the door made a loud clanging noise everytime someone opened it! I think it was the door people were using to go smoke. "Clean rooms, great price"
Overall we really enjoyed our stay. Nice clean rooms, friendly staff and nice pool area. The noise from the hall was a little loud in our room. It appears the lobby area has been recently been updated. The staff was friendly and accommodating. The pool area was very clean. The hot tub was large enough to fit a number of people. "Would stay again"

We had a good experience. Would stay there again. Location is close to I-35 with 5 minutes to downtown and waterfront. Also on 40th St. which gives easy access to west part of Duluth "up on the hill". Service was good. No complaints. Overall we enjoyed our stay, however, the pillows were very small, and the bed was a little hard to sleep on, and our room location might have been better, i.e., we were at the end of a first floor hallway, and could hear all the traffic going by on the nearby freeway. The pool was large and the hours were generous on the pool (important to us) but the chemicals were strong and stinging to our eyes. The hotel needs an updating in decor and new carpeting, paint, etc. Looking a bit worn. As we were there to visit the city of Duluth, we found that the hotel location was ideal for us as it was not close to the main attractions and very few restaurants were within walking distance.
