"Not happy with my placement"
I was glad I had a GPS that listed local hotels. Going back and forth between the Days Inn and the Metra required a lot of turns and funny side streets. I was at the NILE as a vendor, and the best hotels were already full. I didn't think much of the service at the front desk, but the hotel looked nice enough. When I got to my room, it looked nice too. […] Then I discovered I had been placed in a handicap room, complete with a bath chair. NOT NEEDED! So I went to the desk to inquire. They told me that anyone who books a queen room when they have a lot of reservations gets placed in handicapped rooms. What???? This was NOT listed when I booked the hotel! As I looked around, I saw that the bedding and bathroom were not as clean as I would like. I did some of my own cleaning as I decided I couldn't trust the staff. I would have switched hotels if all the ones remaining in town weren't so expensive. This hotel was fully booked due to the event. I won't stay here again if I can help it. The shower was hard to use as it had a low-hanging removable shower head for handicapped people and water leaked into the rest of the bathroom as the shower was a walk-in. The tv channels I wanted to watch were fuzzy too. At least it had a fridge. The coffee pot was awful - one of those cheap one-cup deals, and the breakfast was pretty sparse. The room was nice to look at. It seemed clean. What was advertised as a non-smoking room reeked as if three or four people, or a party had smoked all night. Even opening the windows did not alleviate the smell. When we reported the problem to the front desk, we were told they did not have air freshener spray. Both times I found the rooms to be very acceptable, clean and comfortable..... but both times I found other travellers staying there to be noisy, inconsiderate and obnoxious. "Good for the money"
The hotel staff is always very friendly. They pay for a taxi from the airport which is the main reason we stayed. Great value for the price. The hotel is dated and the rooms are small. Ours had a musty smokey smell to it but by opening a window it cleared out. Everything was very clean except the bed comforter which was completely stained and nasty, […] but who keeps those on the bed anyway. "Not bad for an inexpensive motel in Anchorage!"
I spent one night in the hotel. The room was clean and the shower was great. No frills (i.e., no complimentary shampoo, conditioner etc. The only problem was the lack of "sound-proofing" in the walls. I could hear everything and I mean everything that was going on in the room beside mine. For Anchorage you could do a lot worse for an inexpensive motel. "Not bad, good value"
This room was very affordable, we just needed somewhere to sleep before a 6 am flight. For a short stay it was perfect. Clean rooms, well kept up. The bathroom was very small, but since we were there for such a short time it was doable. We had a room with 2 double beds, so maybe the queen rooms have bigger bathrooms. "Days Inn - Good for Interstate travelers"
I flew into Billings and didn't have a vehicle. I would not recommend this hotel if you are on foot for dining. Stay closer to the town center where many good resaraunts are located. The hotel was very clean, the staff friendly, the breakfast adequate. The location from the airport is far therefore a taxi is required if you want to leave your vehicle at the hotel. The taxi service in Billings is a nightmare! The time line for a taxi exceeds an hour going to the airport or leaving the airport, and you have to share the cab with whoever […] else is also desparate for transportation. The cabs are also ancient, some doors don't open! The hotel picked up the tab for both directions of travel.
