The lobby of the Royal Sonesta Hotel Boston features a wall of windows that frame views of the Charles River and the Boston skyline. Restaurant Dante serves Italian-inspired appetizers and entrées. During favorable weather, Dante offers outdoor seating with river and city views. A 24-hour business center houses three computer stations. Complimentary wireless Internet access is provided throughout the hotel. A complimentary, 24-hour fitness center contains cardiovascular and weight-training equipment, and free weights. Personal trainers are available by appointment. Locker rooms include dry saunas. Spa services are available. An indoor pool features a retractable roof.

This property houses 400 guestrooms in two, 10-story towers. Guestroom décor includes either white, black and crimson color schemes, or chocolate, beige and earthy dark-brown fabrics and furnishings. Beds are draped with 300-thread count linens, white duvets and crimson- or chocolate-toned bed shawls. Pale-wood furnishings and art reproductions of New York City artists' works grace each guestroom. Bathrooms contain shower/tub combinations, or showers only, and are stocked with Poggesi toiletries. Accommodations contain coffeemakers and minibars. Refrigerators are available upon request. Rooms include complimentary high-speed wired and wireless Internet access, and flat-panel televisions.

"Noisy and rude"
My room was located next to the service elevator shaft. The room was constantly shaking and the noise was intolerable. Furthermore, the housekeeping staff was overwhelmingly rude and disinterested. "Disappointing"
The rooms my family were assigned were greatly dissimilar yet all the same rate. My room was a handicap room one third the size of the other king rooms, with no adjustment in cost. There is an oily black substance throughout the garage floor , it gets on your shoes and it's revolting, all floors, the whole floor. Finally even though you are in the middle […] of nowhere in Cambridge, with no local attractions within walking distance, they charge you a substantial amount each night for parking. At the price each night all inclusive with parking we could have stayed at a much nicer, more centrally located hotel, compared to the price we were marketed. This felt like bait and switch. "Clean and comfortable, with proximity to downtown"
Our rooms were very pleasant and overall it was an enjoyable stay. The reception was kind, although our rooms were not ready by 3:30 even though we had checked in at 2. We originally had two rooms close to each other but since we had no problems with having our rooms on separate floors, we were quickly moved to rooms that were ready with no problem. […] The rooms themselves were very lovely and stylish, and the beds and pillows were comfortable. The bathroom was beautiful and well-maintained. My only complaint was that the water pressure in the shower was weak. Our towels were replaced after one use which, while nice, negated the environmental friendly message that told us that by re-hanging our towls on the racks we could help the hotel save water by doing less wash. The location was perfect for our needs, it was an easy cab ride into downton Boston and was right across the street from a mall that had decent shopping and chain restaurants like P.F. We arrived and the valet parking attendant was fast, helpful and extremely nice. Check in was a breeze. We paid for a Cambridge view and we got a river / city view. The hotel is nice from the time you drive in all the way to your room. When we opened the door we were floored at how nice it was. Very modern and clean. There were lots of families there. […] Pool incredible. Breakfast / room service was too expensive but seems most hotels are that way. Presentation and the food was perfect. You can see TD Garden from the hotel. Museum of Science was right out our window. We took a cab to TD Garden $7, Quincy Market $12. Responsive staff did well in response to noisy, drunk neighbors. (Thin walls between rooms and hallways.) Hotel is not convenient to anything but Science Museum, which is among my favorites. My stay was very pleasurable. The hotel staff were very pleasant and helpful and check in was a breeze. The hotel was decorated for the holidays from top to bottom which made the hotel feel comforting. I came to Boston to attend a Celtics game and the hotel was about a ten min walk which was great! Our room also had a great view of the city and river. Only issues worth mentioning is the fact that I could hear almost everything happening outside of my room. At various points throughout the stay I could hear the elevator, people talking, toilets flushing, doors slamming and other unidentifiable noises. I guess it didnt bother as much because I only stayed one night. Also, parking is expensive but you have in and out privileges and the garage is very easy to access from the hotel so it was worth it.
