Within a half-mile are MIT, the Charles River, and CambridgeSide Galleria shopping. "Perfect for college visits"
This hotel was perfect for our whirlwind tour of 5 Boston colleges. One adult and two teenagers had plenty of room in the one-bedroom suite with pulled out couch and roll-away bed. "Good hotel, not so good interenet or front desk"
This hotel is close to the subway which was a plus for me. I enjoyed the breakfast, but my two hiccups were internet service and front desk help. My room was on the 2nd floor and I could barely get any connection to my phone or netbook. It was rather frustrating since I have to be able to check emails. Secondly, I had purchased some honey to mail to […] myself and a few postcards for friends/family. I asked the front desk for suggestions (if they could mail, where the closest post office was) and the lady told me she could take the post cards, but not the 2 jars of honey. I went to the nearest post office, got a box, but they had no tape (were closed for holiday). I went back to hotel, asked for tape, taped up box and asked if they could take it again because I saw the same lady help another customer by getting her a box from behind the desk, filling out paperwork to send, get postage, etc. I asked if she could help me send it off, and AGAIN she told me they can't. I told her I didn't understand why and she wouldn't give me a straight up answer. In my frustration I just left and went back to post office and did an electronic mail order thing and figured it out on my own. It would of been nice if the lady, from the beginning, had helped me package it up and take care of it like she did the other customer. It was a perfect hotel for exploring Cambridge, a block from MIT and a short metro ride to Harvard. This was a great hotel just about 2 blocks from the T line Kendall Square station. The included breakfast was great and the staff was very attentive about refiling fresh scrambled eggs, toast, juice, etc. The room was very spacious and very, very comfortable. Stayed at the Residence Inn in Cambridge for the last two weeks in August. The staff was extremely helpful. We had rented a car so many restauraunts and shopping places were very close. We did take a cab to and from Fenway Park because of parking issues in Boston. We also took a cab to Newbury Street because of the same probelm. Parking in Boston is […] always a concern. Nosotros reservamos una habitación para tres personas y lo único que nos especificaban es que ibamos a tener una cama grande, hasta ahí todo correcto, pero lo que no indicaban es que la tercera persona iba a dormir en un sofá cama donde los muelles del colchón se clavaban por todos los sitios, y ni en el suelo la cosa se solucionaba, pasamos dos dias […] en este hotel y una de las personas que iba con nosotros no pudo dormir en esos dos dias, y acabó durmiendo en el suelo. Si no pueden proporcionar un servicio adecuado para tres personas rogaría que lo comunicaran para buscar otro hotel.
