Came in from New York to meet my nephew and neice while they were in Cambridge. The Inn was convenient to their hotel and some great bars and restuarants.... Hotel staff was very friendly. I was not sure if it was because I was only staying for two nights why there was no turndown service or garbage pickup? The bed was very soft and made for la ong first night. By the second night I took to sleeping on the window sofa. by a Hotels.com guest on 10/18/11

Location.
The Inn at Harvard is located in Harvard Square in Cambridge, Mass., 2 blocks from a subway station on Massachusetts Avenue. Harvard University, the oldest American college, and Harvard Yard, the oldest part of Harvard University are next door to the Inn. Downtown Boston is 4 miles from the property. Boston Logan International Airport is 7 miles away.

Hotel Features.
Designed in Georgian style by Graham Gund, the Inn at Harvard's 4-story atrium resembles the courtyard of the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum with Palladian windows, murals, fresh flowers, statues and sofas. Breakfast, lunch, dinner, and afternoon tea are served in the atrium. The hotel includes a complimentary fitness center. Complimentary newspapers are provided in the lobby. Other perks are shoe shines and a patio. Luggage storage and a safe deposit box at the front desk are available. Valet parking is available (surcharge).

Guestrooms.

The hotel is rather plain, particularly for the 5 star price. In addition, my room was uncomfortably warm and there was no way to cool it off. I complained about this several times over the course of my three day stay and there was no answer/improvement. For the money you can stay at the Charles Hotel and be just as close to Harvard, or you can stay […] at the Marriott at Kendall Square for a lot less and be just a quick subway ride away from Harvard Square. The hotel was fine. It is very close to Harvard Yard which made it very convenient for my needs. My only complaint is the walls are very thin - you can hear everything from the rooms next door. Including the toilet flushing. Very noisy.
