"first time in the island"
Beautiful hotel - Friendly Service - Very confortableGenuine Expedia guest review
"Charming, small town feel"
This resort was perfect for us. Claudette was a gracious and charming lady who helped make the stay delightful. The continental breakfast she served was lovely with yogurt, sweet rolls/muffins, toast, cereals, juice and coffee. A couple of mornings, we were in the mood for eggs and walked the short distance to town for a full breakfast. The distance […] to town from the resort was a definite plus. We LOVED Oaks Bluffs and it was so convenient. We bought a bus pass and the bus, which went right by the resort, would stop whenever you "flagged it" and, using the pass and the transit map, we were able to go all over the island. Before booking Martha's Vineyard Resort, we had considered staying in Edgartown. While Edgartown was lovely, Oaks Bluffs really had that small town, everyone knows everyone, feel. Our stay was wonderful and the Resort was perfect. Thank you Martha's Vineyard Resort and Claudette, for a wonderful stay. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"Great Place To Vacation"
The hotel is close to all important areas. The staff is kind and accomodating. We enjoyed the quiet and peaceful atmosphere of the hotel and surrounding area. Walking to town is about fifteen minutes or by taxi much less time. It is safe and most motorist are courteous to the pedestrians. I am looking forward to my next visit in the future.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Lovely stay at the Martha's Vineyard Resort"
I had read some of the reviews from past guests and found many quite off. Ms. Claudette is an extremely kindhearted individual with a charming B&B - close to many MV locations. I was given plenty of suggestions for transportation, dining options and shopping considerations. I will be returning to Ms. Claudette's B&B soon and she is a large reason why […] I have chosen her location. The breakfast was fine offering the same variety one might find at a Courtyard and the room was comfortable too. The pool table and chess board - and oh yes, the tennis court... a bonus! MV is a older bedroom community that allows people to slow down from their crazy ways of living. Those looking for the Ritz Carlton... go to a larger city! Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"A Lovely Place To Get Away To"
This is a lovely place to get away to. Our accommodations were comfortable and heart warming. This was my impression of a lovely "bed and breakfast" setting. Looking forward to staying at this resort again.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Martha's Vineyard Resort"
We loved this place--more of a Bed & Breakfast than a resort, with an on-site owner who was very friendly and helpful. We were a 20-minute walk from the shops in Oak Bluffs, or you could hop on the bus right outside the door. It was quiet, restful, clean, and private.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Martha Vineyard Resort--a delightful B&B"
We had a wonderful stay at the Marthas Vineyard Resort over the 4th of July holiday. The inn keeper, Claudette (a most interesting person), has clearly put her heart and soul into the place and it shows. Everything inside and out-- the grounds and gardens are as charming as the hotel itself--is well maintained. We stayed in the smallest of the resort's […] several rooms (which is small indeed, but quite lovely and immaculately clean, with a very comfortable bed and a great shower) and found it quite suitable to our needs. A very good continental breakfast is served gratis in an attractive room below the main lobby. You can take your coffee up to the back porch facing the tennis courts, or to the wrap around front/side porch facing the gardens. There are also charming indoor and outdoor places to sit on the second floor where the rooms are (you need to be able to climb stairs). We didn't bring our car, but there is convenient free parking if you don't, while the frequent bus service is very cheap and easy to use, and you can catch it (the #13) in front of the hotel to go to Vineyard Haven, or across the street to go to Oaks Bluff central or, continuing, to Edgartown. It is also just a 12-15 minute stroll into Oaks Bluff if you're in the walking mood. This hotel (not quite a full-fledged resort, but, as noted, there are clay tennis courts) is also a great deal for the island. There aren't any shops or restaurants in the immediate neighborhood, but you'll find some very pleasant wooded streets to explore behind the hotel including the historic Highlands neighborhood. All in all, I would very highly recommend this hotel. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Will stay there again."
We spent very little time in the room, because we usually are out and about fishing and taking photos. This inn met our needs for resting and sleeping, and across the street is Dick's Bait & Tackle which was perfect for us. We were able to pick up some fishing supplies and get some information on where to fish. It's quiet and pleasant, our room was […] tidied up when we left and the drinks in the fridge are priced extremely reasonable. We didn't have to go out of our way to pick up water or drinks when we needed. Parking was available which was great as we rented a car on the island. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
