"Nice place to stay"

"Expected more from a Holiday Inn"
The pool had too much chlorine or something. My skin was flaking off when I left and I got an eye infection from the pool that I have to suffer with the rest of our vacation. The bathroom in th room was dirty and it took 20 minutes to get eggs and sausage for breakfast. "Suite no so sweet"
Overall, it was an "ok" stay; the King sized suite is nothing more than a king bed..........and that's about it; Fridge too small to put anything in, A/C doesn't blow very cold; and the wi/fi is extremely spotty...but at least it was free...;the advertised pool/spa area was "closed" due to "cleaning"; yet, after complaints, the sign magically disappeared; […] breakfast was good, very nice selection; ample parking and is within a moderate distance to downtown Metropolis; Overall, like i've written, it was an ok stay. But for the money, will not be going back; if you are in a pinch and absolutely need some place to stay that's not trashy, this is your place; however, if you want amenities and an actual suite, not the illusion of one, then you're better off staying in very nearby Paducah, KY. "Just an adequate hotel in Metropolis"
The hotel had very few guests. We waited several minutes for the desk clerk to show up for check-in. The rural setting is spread out, so no significant services within walking distance. The "free" WiFi worked so intermittently that it was useless. But the place was clean and comfortable and located where we needed to be.
