Leamington Hotel-Downtown/Port Of Miami

I HAVE ALWAYS STAYED AT THIS HOTEL AND WITH THE NEW MANAGEMENT PURCHASE I AM CONFIDENT THAT THE HOTEL WILL CONTINUE TO IMPROVE AND IT NOW GIVES YOU A CONTINENTAL BREAKFAST SOON WE SHALL HAVE THE FRIDGE IN THE ROOM.

It was just right for an overnight stay to the Port. Very simple and neat. Love the old elevator! Very good price! Close to many stores like Walgreens, Cvs, if you like to walk. 7-Eleven and 24 hour corner restaurant also on the corner. Nothing like true reviews said! I read some of the reviews on this hotel to be a 2-3 stars, however the service we got was beyond 5! Our flight was early and we got to the hotel at 8 in the morning and was told we couldn't check in till after 2. We also took a city bus so we were dirty and tired. However upon waiting for an hour in the lobby, the clerk says he can get us a room ready […] for us at 10. We were ecstatic because we just took a red eye flight from LA and we were beyond tired. This is an old hotel so expect the qualities and maintenance of an old building but for the price, convenience to the port (for our cruise) and GREAT service, we booked another night after our 8 day cruise from the Carribbean. Our 4 night stay in Leamington hotel was superb with the service staff despite the "Jurassic" of the hotel, it is clean and obviously being maintained clean. The staff particularly Ralph the Hotel Manager, Rene the front desk person, Carlos & Santos elevator guys and most of all housekeeping persons in particular their supervisor were all great in serving […] us. They made us feel we are their most valued guests in the hotel. The continental breakfast that comes with the reservation was not as good though fairly ok with the cheaper price we paid compared to the big modern hotels in Downtown Miami.The elevator was the old style manual operation which I did not mind. The rooms smells clorox obviously they are disinfected, the bed linens& towels were not new but fairly clean. The dining area was reasonable for breakfast and the staff were accommodating even beyond time breakfast time for hot water if you need it. Ice were delivered to our room when you need it and they were prompt. Iron and ironing board were made available for me to iron my suit, although the hair dryer was not made available to me when I most needed it for my graduation preparation. It appears the hotel has limited supply of hair dryer for their guest and I did not bring my own since it was part of their advertisement it is available when you ask for it. Over-all our stay was comfortable, the night staff even kept watch on our rental car which we park conveniently in front of the hotel after the parking pay time.I would recommend this hotel for economical & practical reason, but not for those who are really looking for the first class hotels. This economy hotel is worth its price and the staff made the difference. Perhaps when we come back to Miami Downtown I would still book for this hotel. Despite owning several timeshares I preferred to have this reservation due to the accessibility. Das Hotel hat eine ausgezeichnete Lage in Miami, gleich neben dem Bayside Marketplace, wo Betrieb herrscht. Sehr ideal im Zusammenhang mit einer Kreuzfahrt ab Miami. Gratis Shuttle zum Kreuzfahrtschiff oder Airport. Frühstück einfach, aber für Europäer ganz ideal. Preis-Leistung ist gut.
