Great location is aboit all you can say for this place. Its perfect if you are planning just to sleep and leave. Pretty run down but I am sure it was the place ro be in the 1950s! Its the best they could do I guess. Clean tho and fresh paint and carpet. Like I said 100% great location and service. Free shuttle to airport and to cruise ship ports al […] so!! "Ugly hotel"
The hotel is in very bad condition, the old elevator does not work properly and the hotel aisles are vety scary, had a hard time finding my room. It works well for an overnight stay and for visitors to the AA arena but not recomended for longer stays.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Good for what I needed, but a tad bid expensive"
Ultimately, I was satisfied, but definitely felt the price was inflated due to the Winter Music Conference. If you're going to Ultra next year, got shut out of the Holiday Inn around the block, and don't want to drop $30+ a day cab-ing it to Bayfront Park (not to mention, hunting for a cab when the festival lets out), then look no further. Outside of […] Ultra/WMC season, I can't really recommend this place. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Overnight only"
The location is convenient to the port. Hotel offers shuttle service, very nice! Well this hotel is very old and run down, but I must say the housekeepers do a nice job of what they have to work with. The cleanliness of the room was the best part of the place (aside from free shuttle service). The continental breakfast was a joke. Nothing but toast […] and coffee. The elevator requires an operator and is like from the early 20th century. Everyone was very friendly and helpful and for our purpose was just fine. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"cold and ruined blinds.."
The blinds did not turn much so the room was were light (we asked to have it fixed and they would send one, but no one ever came), the beds kind of short. We stayed 1 night and that was enough, going on a cruise the next day. This hotel is with a good location near a free highrise mini train that was going through mid town. Wifi in the room is useless, […] we asked to get the system reset but nothing happened, eventhough we were trying 3 different divices. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"It's OK if you're on a budget. Not bad, not fancy"
The main problem I had was that I asked about parking, knowing that many Miami hotels don't have any. Not surprisingly, I was told the Leamington didn't have any, but there were parking garages nearby. Unfortunately, no one mentioned the fact that the parking garages shut down by 11-11:30 p.m., even on weekends when there are major events going on. […] That meant a late night was followed by a blindingly early morning to pay for the parking meters. On checkout, the clerk was too busy chatting on the phone to acknowledge us in any way. Very annoying. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"It's alright...not bad, not great, just alright."
More like a Bed & Breakfast than a hotel, but it's still not bad for a 1 night or 2 tops. Elevator is antique and very easy to figure out how to operate it, in case there's no one there to do it. "Continental Breakfast" is actually more like "bunch of breads and coffee" because I couldn't find the "Continental" part of it Not recommended for long stays […] or large groups like families but ok for a backpackers, students and people who REALLY won't spend time at the room. "Perfect for sleeping and taking a shower"
This is an old hotel perfect if you only need it to sleep and take a shower. The hallway smells but the rooms are ok. The staff is really helpful. The location is great! We were there to see the Miami Heats and we couldn't ask for a better location. We went walking to the AAA. Also, Bayside is right across and that place is great, This mall has everything […] from stores to restaurants and fun stuff to do. "Flat pillows"
I read many reviews about this place and I admit I was a bit worried about what I'd find. I suggest to keep in mind that It is an older hotel. It is what it is. So, if you're hoping for the Hilton or something fancy, this place is NOT for you. It suited our needs for one night. We stayed there before leaving on a cruise. It is walking distance to the […] Bayside Market which has shopping, restaurants, live music, tourist stuff, etc. They also shuttled us to the Port of MIami which was very convenient. The continental breakfast was coffee, toast, and muffins. It met my needs. We did have an issue with our power being out for an hour in the morning after our stay. So if this happens to you, just keep calling the front desk as it ended up being a fuse. My other suggestion is to bring your own pillow, the ones provided are very flat and may as not even have been on the bed. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"The leamington hotel - miami -"
Hotel was surprisingly clean. It was a good place to crash on the way to our cruise- free shuttle to port a definite plus. Rooms are small and have limited bed options. Make sure you make the right bed choice at registration. You can't change it later. Breakfast wasn't worth stopping for - white bread for toast and coffee...we wandered the neighborhood […] and found a small diner. The elevator is awesome. It is original to the building and has an onboard operator. Ring bell and then be very patient - it takes him a few minutes to get there. For the price and purpose I would stay there again. I would not choose this for a vacation destination. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Leamington Hotel"
Good location if cruising out of P of Miami. Positives included free shuttle to port and airport. Negatives were security of doors. Doors looked like they had been kicked in previously and locks were not going to prevent someone kicking the door in again. The location is great to participate in walking to the waterfront in the evening. Good shopping, […] food, and entertainment in the park at the water front. You have to have some street smarts. "Leamington Hotel in Miami"
This is obviously an old hotel. It was clean and the staff was courteous. The room was clean, but the windows did not keep out the sound of the neighborhood, and there was loud music playing until late at night, and started again around 7 am. The front desk said it was from the restaurant down the street, but we didn't go searching. The elevator was […] the really old fashioned one and had an attendant running it! The hotel was within walking distance to the Bayside Mall and close to the Port of Miami, and they provided free shuttle to the Port, which was very nice. It was inexpensive, so for the money it wasnt all that bad for one night, but I wouldnt stay there any longer than one night. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Interesting Hotel"
You get what you pay for when you stay at this hotel. "A hotel full of surprises"
There were never enough towels. Each room did not have it's own iron and ironing board. The elevator is inoperable from 12am-6am. The surrounding area seems suspect. The hotel is right below the train tracks so you will hear it when you are trying to sleep. The parking garage charges $15 each time you want to move your car, though there is limited street […] meter parking. There are only 2 times in the day that the hotel shuttle will take you to the airport. The shuttle does not pick up from the airport. There are no rollaways available. The complementary breakfast includes coffee, tea and bread. WIFI signal in room was very low so had to go to lobby to use the internet. It is across the street from Bayside and the Port which has many shops and restaurants. Also nearby is a CVS and 24 hour Walgreens. The hotel is 5 miles from south beach so if there's not much traffic then it won't take that long to get to SB. The room TV did not have a remote and it was small like a hospital bed TV hoisted on the wall in the corner. This was my first time to Miami and if I would have known prior to going I would've not stayed there. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Bayfront Park Deal/Steal get what you pay for."
This hotel is old, built in the 1920's. The ammenities are very basic there are no luxuries. If you are on a budget or just need somewhere to sleep, shower and sh--, then this is your place. Not your honeymoon hotel... I was rarely in my room, too busy in South Beach to care about anything but the beach!Genuine Expedia guest review
"only for the Covenience and price."
This hotel is ran down and very old. For no other reason but convenience and price would I ever stay again. The rooms are very small and old. The beds are very uncomfortable and you will need shower shoes for safety. My boyfriend and I was in town for a Heat game and needed to stay somewhere that was in walking distance, because we didnt want to rent […] a car. Thank God because traffic is really ad on game day. This hotel is close to everything (mall, food, drug stores, gift stores, everything) so it was the convenience/price that helped me decide to stay and appreciate it. I would not recommend more than 1 or 2 days. If your trip is a in and out of town stay then you will be fine, If not spend a hundred more dollars and stay somewhere else. "Keep an open mind!"
We stayed at this hotel for five nights. This hotel is in a very good location close to the bay and the American Airlines Arena. It is also the oldest hotel in Miami which is reflected by it's condition. It is barely a block away from public transport and very easy to find. Don't expect anything fancy as the decor is very plain but overall we found […] it to be very functional and the staff were friendly and helpful. The rooms could certainly use a thorough cleaning and updating but the beds were comfortable and bedding, towels etc. changed daily. The best way I would conclude the standard of this hotel is that of Latin (South) American standards. For anyone that has traveled in S. America you would know what I mean. If you are expecting North American standards you will be disappointed. The pricing is good for the location and we felt safe. This is a good hotel if your main focus is on seeing Miami or attending conferences. If all you need is a place to sleep then the money you will save can be put towards good food, gifts and events.
