We chose his hotel for an overnight stop on our way to Key West for a wedding. What a disaster! First of all, never was it represented that the hotel is under major renovation. When we arrived, we were greeted by a security guard who barely spoke English. He couldn't answer any of our questions but pointed to us to an elevator tp go upstairs to the […] temporary lobby. The elevator was broken so we had to climb 3 flights of stairs and climb over construction materials. Once we finally checked in, we made it to our room which smelled like mold. The beds were extremely uncomfortable....the mattress was worn out and the pillows were so flat, I balled up my sweater and used that as a pillow. Then, construction workers were pounding at 6:30 am right outside our window. We will never stay here again and will be hesitant to use Hampton Inn in the future!! There was an attendant at the front office who was wonderful. Professional, know her job better then anyone there. She was helpful, informed about all her qualification that are required for her position. She went beyond her job to assist us in directions, getting to airport, ship, and places to visit as well in Miami.
