WOW, how does this place even stay in business! The lobby is not bad but it went downhill from there. I checked in, when I get to the room the bed appears to have been slept in, so back down to the lobby to explain the situation, the guy behind the counter acts put out instead of apologetic. This room looked better but the carpeting was filthy, bathroom […] was clean and in good repair, bed was hard as a rock and had a filthy bedspread with a sheet, I attempted to get a blanket from the maid but they didn't have any just more sheets! Sliding door to closet was broken and difficult to open and close, there were 3 hangers in the closet, old school TV that seen better days but worked, the window did not lock and there was a rooftop outside with trash on it, people clearly hang out there. Your free breakfast is from 7AM-9AM so you have a small window of opportunity. I would avoid this place at all costs, it is just a straight up DUMP! Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Bath fixture broken and no working ice machine."
Terrible, terrible, terrible! We had 2 rooms, one we could not turn on the bath water, the other practically required so much force to turn on the water I thought I was going to rip the plumbing out of the wall. The ice machine on our floor was out of order and after checking five other floors gave up on looking for another.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"weakest breakfast (continental??)"
No idea were they took this name for their breakfast as "continental"... it is just coffee, orange juice and toast. Any other hotel that I've been in, as continental, they have at least two choices of juice (orange and apple) + scramble or hard eggs + sausage +, two types of fruits like banana, orange or apple + yogurt + two or tree types of bread […] or equivalent (toast, bagel, biscuit, pancakes) + coffee + tea + milk + chocolate + muffin or cake Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"River Park & Suites doesn't have a parking Lot!"
In general its an Ok hotel for passing the night, however, be aware the hotel doesn't have a parking lot and you have to expend around $12 dollars extra at least per day for parking.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"View the Scenery"
Enjoy the view from room. Miami, Florida was vey beautiful, especially at night I would recommend my family and friends to use Hotels.com and reserve their room at River Park Hotel & Suites in Miami , Florida.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Arrived for a business conference and had to personally search each room for an iron and ironing board. Very disappointing!Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"mediocre"
Competitively priced for downtown in great location but lacks the basic amenities. - No micro, fridge, coffee pot. - No premium channels as advertised. - No wireless internet in the room.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"What a dump!"
The River Park provides the bare minimum -- a (lousy) bed to sleep on and a place to take a (trickling) shower. The rooms are sparce and very old. There are no amenities to speak of -- no restaurant or room service, no bar, no gym, no internet access, not even a vending machine. The location is odd surrounded by heavy traffic. There are places to shop […] not far but they all close at 4pm including most food places. Within walking distance are some very seedy neighborhoods. I will never stay there again nor will I recommend The River Park. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

The staff was the only good/great part of my stay. Cynthia saved me by getting a shuttle for me last minute. The phones did not work. Asked for extra towels never received. I had to go get the towels myself. The breakfast was weak coffee, toast, cello wrapped muffins, and dry oranges. Not the oranges Florida is known for.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Better than Expected"
This was much better than I expected, given the reviews and my own experience here over a year ago. Perhaps I got a recently renovated room, but it was clean, upgraded, very large and had a great view of the river. Parking continues to be an issue, but the valet was cheaper than other overnight parking ($25) and the service was very good. I was in town […] for a conference and didn't want to spend over $200 for a room I was only going to spend 8 hours in. This fit the bill perfectly. Sure, the bed could have been a little more luxe, but it was just fine. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Adequate, but could be a whole lot better"
It was great to find a bargain price in such a prime location. But you have to wonder why the owners don't invest more in the place to make it a whole lot better. Rooms are a good size but rather tatty. Hot water came out of the cold tap. There's no power socket at the desk. The TV was not flat-screen, poor reception, channel identification all wrong […] and a bizarre choice of channels (OWN but no CNN). No bar or restaurant in the evening. Best to stay here and get your meals and drinks at the Hyatt next door. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Choose some place else"
The hotel was well located to the conference center, however that was the ONLY positive point. The the rooms were very small, stains on carpets and furniture, elevators dirty, no coffee makers even in the suite, iron was broken as well as the ice machine and closet doors, mildew on carpet.. The restaurant was closed for remodeling so we had no eating […] option close by. We walked to another hotel to eat, because they only had valet parking (at $25.00 per night). The parking charge was on top of paying over $200 a night per room. We are seasoned travelers and have stayed in hotels all over the world, for the price this was the worst. "nice location, but not worth price of hotel."
Was not what was presented on web site. Continental breakfast was a joke, no extra blankets, only 1 garbage can in room, no coffee maker in room or other extras...should have been much cheaper considering the cost per night.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
I was extremely disappointed with this hotel. The room was very dark, dirty and unmaintained. The water barely came on in the sink and I had to fuss with the shower water to get it to work. The breakfast was nonexistant...not even any coffee or toast at 7:30 AM. The hotel staff though was very friendly and helpful, no problem there. Location was good; […] a short walk to the AA Arena where the convention was held. This hotel needs some serious updating!!! Don't trust the elevators! Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Necesicity night !!!!!!"
I stay one night only at this hotel really because the location was perfect for my trip to Downtown Miami but I personally not recommend it at all It's and old hotel that really needs a lot of renovations, plus don't have free parking you are obligated to pay $25 vallet parking and the breakfast it's a joke. At The checkout there was a line to get your […] car so we have to wait 20 min to get the car back, not Wi fi on room only at lobby, not even ice bucket on room, old dated tv's and at 6:00 in morning you could hear the next room bed banging against the wall overall I don't recommend Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"not the place to stay in miami"
The bathroom was terrible. Not only were the bathroom walls filthy, but there was no hot water. The bed was fine, but the room was less than 60 degrees with no way to adjust the temperature. Not the place to stay in Miami even for a business trip.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Strange experience"
Initially they couldn't find my reservation (made through Hotels.com), but they eventually dredged it up. Room was spacious and clean, but not close to up to date. Strange arrangement of light switches provides endless mystery and entertainment. No internet access in rooms results in the lobby area being full of people using their laptops. At checkout […] in the morning, front desk staff nowhere to be found; I ended up just leaving my key on the desk and leaving. Overall kind of a strange experience; good location and very attractive price; no major problems but just kind of weird. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Good Stay, Will Stay There Again"
This hotel was a good stay with great location. Nice size rooms, comfortable beds, many more amenities. Only downside was no wifi in the rooms & no free parking other than that everything was great.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Good for travel bugs, not for luxury"
The hotel has a great location, clean. It is not luxurious but if all you need is a clean place to stay with pleasant service , this is the place for you. The rates are not expensive and the location is in downtown Miami. a good no frills stay for travellers needing to stick within a budget.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

You get what you pay for. None of the other downtown hotels came close to this rate. It appeared that this hotel used to be much nicer, but the adjacent river walk area is run down with no restaurants or any type of attraction. There is no hotel bar or restaurant, and the complimentary continental breakfast left much to be desired (no fruit; all carbs). […] There was no coffee maker in the room, no ironing board, and the TV remote did not work. When I needed an extra wash cloth, I had to go down to the front desk to get it myself. Valet parking was priced high and there is no other choice. The best thing about the hotel was the location. It was a half block to the Metro Mover which conveniently takes you close to entertainment districts at Bayside Marketplace and Brickell Village. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Convenient for conferences in Hyatt or Interconten"
What do you want to know? I attended a conference at the intercontinental in Miami. All the rooms in that hotel were booked so I went to Hotels.com to find something close and inexpensive. River Park is an older hotel with a strange 70s vibe but the room was fine, although small. It was reasonably clean. They served cold breakfast in the morning (bagels, […] cereal and coffee). Overall, I'd say it was a good bargain and I'd stay there again. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Room was OK for the Price"
The River Park is ok for the price. Saved about $80 over brand name hotels nearby. No frills, 1 elevator was out of order for a couple days. If you just need a place to sleep, it's fine. But don't look for amenities, there are none to speak of.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
