"Quite sufficient but getting pricier"
Stayed overnight as connecting through MIA to business in Haiti. Airport Shuttle is free and usually runs every 30 minutes which is helpful. Check-in was as efficient as I've ever encountered. Very disappointed and afraid during my stay. Left over dirty towel in shower, raisins on floor, soiled chair,plastic pillow cases. Slept with chair in front of door and bolted close. "Good price close to the airport"
It was good to be close to the airport, malls, bank etc. So I didn't have to do much driving. The hotel itself was fair - it served its purpose of somewhere to lay down at night, Definately not a vacation/relaxing hotel. The complimentary WiFi was good. Staff was rude, they took a carbon copy of my credit card with signature for any extra charges. I was told I would get the carbon copy back at check out. When I went to check out the next morning they were refusing to give me the signed credit card form. I was not going to leave there with a blank credit card form. Front desk were very helpful. Difficult to talk to housekeeping due to language difference. Vending machines did not work adequately due to not taking papaer money correctly. "Be cautious and verify charges on your credit card"
Although I prepaid through Hotels,com I have had three charges against the credit card that I registered with them for incidentals. So far a total of $58.98 has been charged against my card. I made absolutely no use of any services or products that would justify so much as 1 cent in extra charges. I called the Hotel and was told that I have been charged […] nothing.
