The room was nice - end unit was very large....HOWEVER.....when we walked in it reeked of HEAVY smoke. I called front desk but they didn't do anything, such as offer me a new room. "A Mixed Bag"
Overall it was decent but a strange experience! First the shuttle service from the airport was terrible! I called 5 times to remind them we were waiting and was assured they would arrive in 10 minutes..after an hour we were finally picked up. However, the manager kept the pool open an extra hour for us so bad and good! The hotel was nice and the pool […] was great and our room was comfortable. However, the shower did not drain so I had to stand in 3 inches of dirty water after I cleaned out the long black hairs on the bottom of the tub...can you say yuck? Also somehow the door to the bathroom locked so in the middle of the night I could not get in and then in the morning they sent maintenance and the man had to tear the door frame apart to pop the lock and get us in. "Not worth the price, room was dirty, needed work"
I used to stay at this hotel years ago when it was under a different brand, I had always found it to be worthy of the high room rates they charged. My stay this week was much different. My room was dirty, the bathtub had hair in it, the picture frames were chipped and scraped, the sink stopper was stuck in the down position (I had to pry it up with […] my fingernails - disgusting), the fan in the bathroom screeched like it was dying, the complimentary coffee in room did not include any sweetener/sugar or stir sticks. If I was not in the room only to sleep for one night, I would have requested to change rooms. When I checked out, I told the front desk clerk that the room needed some service and explained the issues, she didn't seem all that concerned about it, nor did she say she was sorry or thank you for bringing it to their attention, just "O.K.". This is a convenient hotel if you are attending the connecting merchandise mart, but I would not stay here again, even for that reason. Not sure what is happening with the Hilton? It was one of the worst hotel stay we ever made: the room seemed has never been cleaned for ages: piled dust on chairs, lamps, bed frame, under chair; anywhere you can see. The wall has a large area of scratches and marks. One mismatching chair in the room looked was picked from a cheap motel. The noise from the air circulation reminded you of airplane […] flying nearby. pillows seemed have been used for many years.
