9 of us occupied 4 rooms at this hotel the night before our cruise out of Miami. We all agreed we would never stay here again. The hotel itself does not really have any major issues and the rooms are quite comfortable - except for the low lighting in the bathroom and the fact that the bathroom door is competing with the toilet - both of which always […] seem to be an issue. Things to know: Getting to and from the hotel seems to be a major deal. It seems that Miami has some strict laws about who can take you where - none of which is spelled out or obvious - and there is a lot of confusion and tension when you get in a taxi, only to find out that they "can't" take you where you want to go. The hotel shuttle is a joke....they only have 1 shuttle, it is not free, and the schedule is so inconvenient that we ended up taking a taxi everywhere. While the staff tried to be accommodating, we did not enjoy our stay. It may say Hilton on the outside, but it feels more like an upscale Holiday Inn with the food options (or lack thereof). The business center is apparently operated by another company, and so when we had to print boarding passes and couldn't log in among other issues, it was a big deal. Again, the staff was accommodating, but it just seemed like we ran into roadblocks at every turn. Read more

I was not happy with the rudeness of the bartender. I placed an order and when she brought it to me I said thank you and without saying a word she turned and walked away!! I picked my tip up and put it in my pocket, as I don't reward BAD behavior!! I think the price of the food in the restaurant was high and no place close to go and eat!!

We did`nt notis that the roomservice had been in the room, the elevator had onely 1 out of 4 working witch made a looong line everytime you used the elevator. It was a very unpersonal place to stay, maby it was ment for business trips ??Family vacation

This was a great stay. So close to a perfect 5 in all categories. BUT, here are your opportunities....eating in your cafe was very costly. Lower your prices you will have sooo much more business since people won't leave the hotel to find somewhere else to eat. Food was decent quality. Though come to think of it, you price high since you are the only […] restaurant in the area...except maybe...another hotel! Pool area....time to replace them old raggy towels. Elevator break down...no problem, just have them put a sign on the door. Convenient location to the airport and nice touch with the free shuttle. Going on a cruise? I like the hotel, frankly I was expecting much more from their house keeping. The carpets were NEVER vacuumed and the sheets were not changed even though we did request this. Comfortable hotel, located next to the airport. Staff unfriendly, given only the necessary, without worrying about pleasing guests. Hotel is under renovation and 08:30 am we were woken up with people working on the contiguous room (noisily). When complaining to guest service, nothing can be done.

The Hilton promises 24hr room services which is a lie. After waiting at the airport for over an hour for the Hilton Shuttle bus to pick me up it was competely packed with other people who were also upset. Once arrriving to the room at 8 pm, was not given the view of the Blue Lagoon, bed was not a queen size and the room service was only a ham and cheese […] sandwich for $15 dollars. The hot tub was also broke, in the morning for breakfast, cafeteria was out of food and I had to wait another 30 mins before more was brought out. Last time I will ever stay at a Hilton hotel. Our adult family stayed at this hotel for one night before going on a cruise. The hotel was in good condition and the staff was very nice. We booked this hotel to take advantage of the free shuttle service and we wanted a resturnat in the hotel to eat in that night. When we got to the airport we called for the shuttle and it arrived very quickly. It […] seemed like they had several shuttles that ran all day. What was really disapointing about the hotel was tht everything was very expensive. The resturant is described as casual because you dont have to dress up but its priced as a fancy resturant. Burgers were $15 and not very good. Even a bag of candy at the little shop there was $1.50. Their outdoor pool area was very nice and the pool was pretty big. Read more

Beautiful setting and nice hotel. A little disappointing in that the TV in the first room wouldn't work and the game system was "out". The TV worked in the second room to which we were moved. The game system was stiil out. The food in the restaurant was nice though pricey.

Due to unexpected change in travel plans my husband & I needed accommodation near MIA. As it was for 1 night we decided to treat ourselves to a King Suite at the Hilton booked at the last minute through Hotels.com. Never again - In a 6 week holiday this was our worst most disturbed night's sleep! The suite was an awkward layout using the space around […] the elevator shafts and also housing the hotel piping from higher floors. At intervals all night the noise of working elevators and gurgling water disturbed us. Furthermore the bathroom/shower area was appalling for such an expensive hotel. The bathroom was old & tired and the drain from the shower was in the middle of the bathroom floor so that shower water had to drain across half the bathroom. Thankfully we did not slip over. We stayed on dec 4th 2010. The hotel was beautiful. We were traveling with 2 elderly and disabled people. Check in was a snap. Our room was nice and cozy. The problem we had was that we went to the concirge and ask to recommend a place to eat. He told us about a steakhouse up the road. I asked if we take a taxi and he said that the shuttle would drop […] us off and pick us up. They dropped us off and 1st it was nasty food and a dirty place, when we waited to get picked up we had to walk 5 blocks with 2 people who use canes down a side walk that was torn up for 3 of the 5 blocks and we had to walk in to traffic. When the shuttle finally got us my grandfather was beyong sore and swollen. I complained to the manager donaldo. He was amazing. Very caring. We were informed that the shuttles are not suposed to go anywhere but the hotel and airport. But. Again donaldo the hotel were amazing. Read more

The hotel's location is very convenient. It has an awesome pool but I was very dissapointed when I walked into my room. I did not get my moneys worth. The room needs to be renovated, the bathroom was just plain ugly. for a Hilton, I was expecting something much better.

It was less expensive to use tranportation directly from hotel to cruise lines than taking the cruise line transportation from airport. Hotel had free transportation between Airport and hotel so we did not even have to rent a car this vacation trip for a family cruise from port of Miami on Carnival Cruise line after staying at hotel.
