"Good location for cruising"
We decided to stay here the night before our cruise left. It was a $6 cab ride to the port, and we had no issues getting a cab right outside the hotel. Our first room had no A/C. It was miserable! So they finally switched us to a much larger and more comfortable room. The bed was very comfortable; bathrooms are TINY. You could also hear everything going […] on in the next room.... Would not recommend for Miami vacation, but just fine for one night before a cruise. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Won't be staying there again"
Hotel bar and staff was friendly and professional. My only gripe was that the room was ridiculously small. Pictures that I was shown did not look like what it actually was. City view? My view was of a back alley...Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great location, great restaurant"
Location is great for downtown business and those interested in catching a Heat game and/or visiting Bayside. The food at the attached restaurant was great and the Waite staff and bar tender were very friendly and helpful. Housekeeping was sub-par, for example the ice bucket was not emptied, it sat for 2 days with water, no soap was left, etc. , basically […] the important little things that are indicative of a lack of attention to detail from housekeeping. The newly renovated lobby, while small, was classy and well appointed. The rooms and bathrooms are very small, reminiscent of typical Eupropean Hotel rooms. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

saw the review so i knew what i was getting into... we had a problem with the a/c. but the desk got someone up to our room right away and they changed our room. unfortunately.. this bathroom was the size of a tiny closet. it's a good thing we are very small. it's a huge... old hotel.. not being well maintained.. that said.. the room WAS very clean.... "You get what you pay for."
After reading the reviews i wasn't expecting much. I only chose it because the other that were closer to Brickell were booked. The cleanliness surprised me, but still for the rate not having internet in the room is unacceptable.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Good for a night"
This hotel is located next to the port, food and shopping. If you need an overnight stay prior to a cruise and you do not care about anything but a hot shower and bed this is for you. The shuttle to the port cost $6 per person the day of the cruise and the people were friendly. You can overlook the condition of the hotel for fair nightly cost.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"You get what you pay for"
I stayed at the Bayside hotel for 2 days before going on a cruise. This hotel is one of the closest to the ship port. The bayside attrections and the a airlines basketball arena is even closer. This hotel is also the cheapest you will find in the ares. The hotel is old. As a matter of fact everything is old including the towels, the blnkets, the sheets, […] the drawers, the television, the television. The TV only has 6 stations total and the reception is not clear. All rooms are supose to come with a mini frig but i guess you get what you pay for. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Location was great! Hotel not so great..."
Overall where the hotel is located is absolutely great. You're right across from Bay Side where this so many outlets where you can shop, get great food, and just relax. Where my room located I had an awesome view of the water and the bridge when it was lit up at night. But my room was not that great. Soon as you got off the elevator and reached the […] floor I was greeted with an unpleasant smell. The beds in the room were not comfortable. Very firm and almost could feel the springs in the bed. My room was a two queens and one of the beds had a huge dent in the middle of it like someone broke the bed. The beds were also very low to ground. Like as if you were sleeping on the floor. The sheets look barely clean. The tv in my room only had maybe 4 working chanels. One chanel that did work had no sound for what ever reason. The amenties in the room where not update. So if you're expecting the flat screen tv, lavished room, and at least a microwave in the room, and a ice machine somewhere in the hotel; don't expect that hear. The only great thing I loved about the room was how big the room was and the great view from the window, and it was very peaceful and quiet there. So I was able to sleep with a little interuption from housekeeping. I wouldn't recommend this hotel due to it's lack, and maybe a few things they should upgrade (like the furniture in the room at least). But if you're only concerned with location then this would be a good hote just for that. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Great location....but dirty rooms"
Really liked the location of this hotel as its near the bayside shops and bus....but room was kinda gross. Specifically the sheets and bed. Was super cold in room but was scared to put the sheets near my face. full of cigarette holes and stains. and mattress was due for an upgrade 5 years ago. BUUUUUUT was a good location to bayside and hotel front […] desk was helpful and informative. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"The contentinal hotel is ver near port"
For the price this is a good hotel if you need somewhere to stay for one night before you go off on a cruise as the port is very near only found 3 things that would put me off staying longer 1) The air conditioner was loud im my room 2) couldn't find any internet connection or any spare sockets and 3) no coffe or tea in room and at night bar shut and […] no soda vending machine so if u want a drink of soda or anything after the bar shut ( and I got there just after 9pm and it was shut already on a Friday night ) so if u want a drink at night come prepared or expect to walk a block to the 24 mini store/ coffee shop, not good if ur like me and wake up in middle of night needing a drink as have to get fully dressed and go out of the hotel to buy a drink. On a good side the man who was behind the desk was a really nice person and rooms were a very good price if they looked at these points and fixed them or if those things don't worry u I would recommend this hotel to friends Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Cheap, old, close to the Arena"
We just needed a hotel close to the American Airlines Arena. It was really old and nasty, but cheap. So if you just need a place to sleep, it will be ok. Best part: Free Wi Fi in the lobby ;)Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great location!"
The hotel is right across the street from Bayfront park and Bayside, and a two minute walk from American Airlines Arena, so it is perfect if you want an inexpensive place to stay for the night. "I LIKE THIS HOTEL"
I have no doubt in my mind that I like this hotel. From its price to service. However, this hotel MUST have an internet service in every room. This is what is lacking. They have internet in the lobby, but if you use a skype, or call someone through skype, problem start because it it becomes very noisy. People using their laptop in the lobby are all […] creating so much noise because they are using skype to call. I hope the hotel will put up internet service in the rooms. Thank you and Cheers! "Good hotel for a few nights"
This hotel in just in front of the ocean and the bayside marketplace which is really beautiful. The streets around are quite safe during the day but no so much at night so pay attention. About the hotel, it is quite old but is maintained sufficiently properly. Rooms are clean but not modern at all. Bathrooms are the part where most maintenance is needed […] because they are not very clean. Overall, we spent 3 nigths and it's ok for this period. You can go rapidly to south beach by bus if you want. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"cheap and dirty. ok for a night if u get a deal"
Hotel was what it was cheap. I feel we were over charged as it was spring break. The front door was dirty, looked like iit was a back alley way entrence. "18th Annual 9 Mile Music Festival Bob Marley"
I stayed in room 1108 which faced the Bayside waterfront. I had a perfect view of the the park where the concert was held...phenominal....I brought my own sheet , towel, wash cloth & soap for my comfort! However CVS was right next door if you forgot or didn't travel with personal items. Directly around the corner was a lil deli type convenient store […] where you could buy hagen das ice cream bars & bottled water & cooked food! It was the shortest building. in comparison to the other hotels in the area, but it served it's purpose! if you don't speak a lick of Spanish, you need to consider taking a class so that you can communicate your needs & understand what is happening in your temporary environment...also learn to dance de Salsa , so you can hang out at the Pavillion. "Location, Location, Location"
I was looking for a hotel room for one night at a reasonable price that was close to the Port of Miami so that I easily get to my cruise on the Norwegian Epic. My room was on the 11th floor and looked directly onto the port and I could see the stadium for the Miami Heat as well. I was able to go across the street for a great dinner and some shopping […] at Bayside Mall. The great location enabled me to over look the fact that the bed was uncomfortable and the furniture looked like it had come from a thrift store. The fitness center in online pictures was closed also. However, the hotel did get me the inexpensive shuttle I needed to the port, and at $110 for the night when all the other hotels near the port cost more than my round trip airfare to Miami, I was satisfied overall. "Convenient location but you get what you pay for"
For an inexpensive one night stay prior to boarding a cruise ship at the Port of Miami this is a good value. My one major complaint was the less than comfortable mattress. Not the worst I've ever slept on, but less than average. The Holiday Inn was within walking distance (where friends were staying) but at night I don't recommend walking alone. There […] is a pharmacy store very close that has a limited selection of food and beer. A good place to buy last minute cruise essentials. For restaurants and nightlife you only have to cross the street. I wouldn't recommend this hotel for an extended stay, but for one night it worked out perfectly. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"it was OK for one Day"
The Hotel is extremely old and the rooms are not that nice at all. Ina hotel the bed is the most important thing. The beds are the worst, they are firm but i was uneasy about laying on the bed. Sheets look clean towels clean. I wrapped the towel around the 2year old pillow and was ok . The Lobby is nice and clean just old. I suspect that some prostitution […] goes on there . The staff was nice and helpful its just those rooms need some serious work. If your are a trooper ok to stay here its like camping indoors. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Continental downtown bayside - pefect location"
This was my third stay at the hotel and despite the poor reviews recorded, I continue to find the accommodation quite adeqate. The hotel has done some refurbishment, paint work etc. and offers a comfortable room in a very convenient downtown location . Shopping is easily accessible walking to the downtown stores. Rest and relaxation can be added to […] the shopping at the Bayside Marketplace which is across the road. Those who would like to experience the Mall shopping, can take a bus at the stop across the road and happily head to Sawgrass Mills (every 1/2 hour). Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Our stay at the Continental Downtown Bayside"
Hi As everybody I checked the comments at site before I did the reservation. I have to say that it's pretty scary to do reservation of hotel with rating so low. But in fact the hotel is not so bad at all; I think that at those prices for night its pretty good hotel! We came at 4 pm and the room was ready for us. The location off the hotel is the most […] importing thing - its sitting at the main avenue of down town. We took the cruse at the next day so it was supper comfortable for us, they have shuttle from the hotel to the ships, for cheep. As I said the hotel is on the main street (but there is no noise there), 5 min walking from the hotel you have stores for doing a little shopping there and you have a marina complex across the street, so you are at the middle of the down town. About the room - as it seen at the pictures of the hotel, it a little old but clean, and we had no problem of fallen asleep at the bed. So in my opinion it's a good deal. "DECEPTION"
