    Overview

    Location.
    The Hyatt Regency Miami is located on the Miami River in Miami, Fla. The hotel adjoins the Miami Convention Center and the James Knight International Center. The Bayside Marketplace is located 5 blocks away.

    Hotel Features.
    The atrium-style lobby is decorated with leather sofas and chairs, as well as a soaring Yaacov Agam sculpture. Dining options include The Riverwalk Café that serves gourmet meals, and offers take-out service. Currents Lounge overlooks the Miami River, serves appetizers, houses pool tables and features 52-inch flat-panel televisions. A business center is staffed 24 hours a day, 6 days a week, and offers fax, photocopy and print services. A total of 100,000 square feet of flexible function space accommodates events. Wireless Internet access is available throughout the hotel (surcharge). Recreational amenities include an outdoor pool and the complimentary 24-hour Hyatt Stay Fit fitness center. The fitness center houses cardiovascular and strength-training equipment, and free weights. Self parking(surcharge) is available on site with no in/out privileges.

    The 24-story Hyatt Regency Miami offers 612 contemporary guestrooms with South Beach-inspired decor. Guestrooms feature gold, beige and royal blue fabrics, modern-style pale wood furnishings and streamlined lighting fixtures.     When i first got my room I was extremely disappointed. The carpet was old, dirty and lifted in the middle of the room. The room smelled awful. I called the front desk, complained, and was quickly upgraded to a suite. The carpet was a bit better, It was still old and had a sticky feeling when walking barefoot, the smell was a bit better, and the shower […] was a bit moldy. The location was great but I was expecting a lot more from this hotel after paying over $200 a night. Read more

    I attended a conference here this week - hotel itself is "OK", but room and hotel in general definitely showing it's age. The eating options were limited to one restaurant with a very limited and overpriced menu. No workout facility (that I could find). On the positive, the hotel staff was very friendly and professional.

    I stay in many hotels across the country and star rating is important. This hotel was not a 4 star. Room was worn and felt dirty. Carpets needed a good cleaning, grout in bathroom was tired and a bit moldy. Overall, I would not recommend this hotel if you think it is going to be a higher end stay.

When we arrived we have to pay an extra $25.00 for early check in, the check in its at 4:00p.m. and check out at 12 noon !! 3. There was no bottles of water in the room, I'll explain to the front desk that in another ocassion they put at least 2 bottles, but they told […] that I have to pay for it. 4. Poorly amenities.     I was so disappointed in the upkeep of this hotel. I'd stayed here 6 years prior and it was great. I didn't notice then how small the workout facilities were then. A dreadful gym in the basement with very poor cell phone reception. My cleaning staff contnuusly forgot to replace the towels and didn't vacuum (small test). There is a ridiculous valet charge […] considering the front of the hotel entrance for cars was continuously blocked by steel baracades. Read more

    When we arrived at the hotel, the attendant told us we could not check in because the hotel was fully booked - before even check that we had a confirmed reservation. We were given a smoking room - even been reserved a non smoking room. The room was not very clean and smell really bad.

So we had to change rooms. In the other room, housekeeping left a disgusting band-aid in the shower. Overall the carpets in the room were not very clean and needed […] to be vacuumed properly. The bath tub was dingy, and I almost puked when I saw that band-aid. The valet is a complete mess, and you really have no choice of self-park. They will charge you the same high rate going in and out of the self parking then if you pay the even more expensive rate for valet. Also expect to wait at least 30 minutes to get your car, Even if you call 15 minutes before, expect to wait. The only good thing about the hotel was the people at the front desk, they were very polite and apolegetic for all the unconviniences. They tried very hard and were very kind. Overall, this hotel was one of the worst hotels I've ever stayed at. I would never recommend this hotel to anyone. The only nice thing were the employees whose customer service was excellent.     Management was great in understanding how bad the service was. Kept comping us to make up for all the mistakes and water issues. No hot water in one room. Room not cleaned. After being prommissed the room would be cleaned it wasn't. When they did clean the room they never replaced the towels. Food in the hotel was good though!

Spoke to a guy who hated being there, knew straight away this place was "special". I should also mention that my partner had already called yesterday and was given the early check in at no charge. So we mention this after he tries to fight it and them after acting like he is reading an entire accounting book, agrees. Then after a long flight get to your room. , go upstairs, try and take a shower- it doesn't work. Call reception, told that sometimes "you need to pull it harder". It didn't work. Change rooms. Which I mention is the same condition as the first room. Oh my god. Filth, mustiness, just felt cheap and very motel - if that.
