"An oasis in the snow :-)"
It was a great hotel close to mall and restaurants and very close to the skate rink that we were in town for my daughter's performance. Staff very kind. After leaving our previous destination a day early; I found this hotel at 7PM and checkin 2 hours later. The hotel is located on the west edge of town and was easy to find, It's close to the mall and the highway. Check-in was quick and easy with no problems. Response by Country Inn & Suites Minot I would like to state that we do have queen size beds in our rooms and that we do not have any rooms with double sized beds. Our invoices clearly show that queen beds were ordered and shipped. I apologize for the unconcern the front desk staff member showed when you came up to the desk, but she may have been confused as to the issue because all the staff know we have queen beds and that there is no rate for 2 double beds because we don't have any rooms like that.

The room and all the surroundings inside this hotel were second to none. Very clean. However, I thought it rather odd that the area designated for guests to smoke was never cleaned and made a poor impression when entering the hotel. Brand new tables that were never cleaned and chairs that were dirty. I am a smoker and do realize that smoking is a dirty […] habit and would never consider smoking indoors. Why do I have to smoke in a dirty area outdoors in a brand new hotel? I am not talking about butts being scattered all over the patio because there were proper disposal units provided for this that were used. I am talking about providing a clean area to relax with your coffee while you have your puff! This was a new hote only open about 2 months or so.
