This hotel is by definition an average hotel by Miami resort hotel standards. When you see the 4 and 5 star hotels and level of luxury they have, you'll see what I mean, however you are looking at at least 2 times the price per night for those. It's also very conveniently located around all sorts of restaurants, shops, and stores (including a Publix) within very short walking distance. Lastly, the daily complimentary breakfast they offered was very nice. It was a full scale breakfast with, eggs, sausage, french toast, cereal, fruit, yogurt, juices, and coffee. The limitations of this place is the two pools are very basic and not that large and there is no jacuzzi or many other amenities. There isn't an exercise room, sauna, lounge, or bar or anything like that on site, so if those things are important to you, then you might want to upgrade to another hotel. Also, there is an additional $19 a night parking fee, which seems to be the norm in the Miami area. If you're looking for a hotel that its on the beach and is pretty comfortable that you won't have to break the bank for, this is the type of place for you. From the moment I checked-in until the moment I left, everyone and everything was nice. The hotel manager was very hospitable and allowed me to check-in two hours early. Plus, he was able to get me into a room with a king-size bed, which was much better for me than having two double beds. The Bal Harbour shops were nearby as well for those interested in fashion and jewelry. The housemaids came by each day to make sure the bed was made and fresh towels were brought. The back of the hotel leads right to the beach at Surfside or you can hang out at the pool. I was even able to park the car without added expenses. Having the kitchenette worked well for us as we were traveling with an infant. This hotel was a quick (block away) from a grocery store. They also had a crib for our use, with no extra charge.
