Front desk staff were friendly and accommodating. Breakfast was great! Dot was a welcome and friendly smile every morning. Waffles, oatmeal, cereal, and pastry assortments each day, in addition to a variety of scrambled eggs, biscuits and gravy, and sausage available on other days. Rooms were clean and well appointed. "It's all about location."
Overall the stay was nice. The pool was very convenient but was extremely crowded. When in our room at the top of the steps on the second floor, the noise from the lobby and pool area was very loud. The hotel was very comfortable, beds were great, large 30"(?) flat screen TV, fridge and microwave in room (we stayed in a room, and not a suite). The pool and hot tub were clean (hot tub was actually 'hot' - 100+ degF). The convenience is up to the individual: its not particularly close to the ocean (about 10m to Wrights-ville Beach and 15m to Carolina […] Beach), but it is close to downtown Wilmington - maybe 4m) - it suited us fine. The breakfast was included and was very good; the usual - cereal, bread, muffins, fruit, etc., and they also had two waffle makers and two or three other hot items; hash-browns and scrambled eggs one morning, and sunny-side eggs, bacon, and french toast the next morning. "2 Night Stay"
This hotel was in a great location for our two night, three day stay in Wilmington, NC. Centrally located between the beach and downtown Wilmington, we never had to drive more than 10 minutes to either location. "Great Stay-Close to downtown"

To be honest there wasn't anything 'wrong' with this hotel but nothing great either. I felt like the overall room wasn't as clean as it could be.. ie stains on the carpet and hair in the bathroom. The air(ac) worked but was either very cold or very hot.. nothing between. I researched before staying here and thought this hotel would be alright.. to be […] honest I wish I would have spent a few more dollars and stayed someplace else. The breakfast was not impressive and the staff was okay. I had to wait to check in and out.. and listened to the cleaning staff fighting about their job. The pool looked gross and we didn't feel comfortable getting into the water. Our first night there I don't think there were more than like 5 other guests which was sort of creepy and weird. The hotel did have more guests towards the end of our stay. Location was alright.. across from a Target and a few miles ouside of the downtown area. "Quiet, Tucked In Hotel - Great Staff!"
PROS: The hotel was in a well, traveled area of town, but tucked in behind some woods, so it was very quiet. The staff was very pleasant and helpful in finding a restaurant for the evening. They brought us a new hair dryer when ours was not working and the lady working the breakfast area was super sweet. CONS: Our room was right next to the elevator, […] which made noise. The hotel was at capacity, so there was no hope of a different room. The bathroom was very small. The indoor pool was not heated and almost too cool to swim in. The jacuzi was not warm enough, either, and they gave you thin hand towels to dry off with after. Had to drip our way back to the room. All in all, was a nice hotel for the price and I'd suggest it if you want something close to the historic downtown. Very close and accessible to that area of town. We had no black out curtains like was advertised, and the sun rose on our side of the hotel. There were numerous stains and food crumbs crumbs on the floor.
