Usually I extensively read the reviews before I book a room, but I didn't have time to on this trip. I was very pleased with my stay at Comfort Suites. I really liked that the hotel was not directly on the main drag (though very easy to find). Additionally, the hotel staff was very friendly and it was an easy check in/check out process. "Cofortable and secure for single travelers."

This hotel is only a few miles from historic downtown Wilmington, a very easy 10 minute drive even if traffic is heavy. Acceptable neighborhood and safe parking lot with convenient fast food, drug stores, etc. but not the prettiest location and not somewhere I'd go for a walk at night. The hotel is set back on a main road and is nicer than expected, given the neighborhood. No complaints. Clean, quiet, comfortable. If you get an extended (1 pm) checkout, know that the key cards automatically reset at noon. Actually, my wife and I would have been very satisfied with our stay if our room had been cleaned after our 1st night there. We were away from the hotel all day and returned after dark to a room with an unmade bed. Although the soiled towels had been removed from bathroom, when we inquired about cleaning the room, the management informed us that our […] room was not on the list for cleaning. Around 9:00 p.m. the front desk personnel came to our room with clean linens, stripped the bed, put on the contour sheet, and just threw the top sheet and spread on the bed with a comment that she can't make the bed the way the maid staff can. Hotel was at capacity for the weekend, but we spent little time there. Some noise at night but that is to be expected in a big hotel. Der Raum war gross. Es gab einen Microwellenofen und einen Wasserkocher in der Kochnische. Der Fernseher war gross und von einer älteren Generation. Das Badezimmer war funktionell und gut, die Lüftung drin war recht laut. Im Zimmer hat man immer noch relativ gut die Strasse gehört, aber das lässt sich in Amerika wohl kaum vermeiden. Zudem schliessen […] die Vorhänge nicht ganz, entsprechend kommt etwas Licht ins Zimmer. Aus meiner Sicht entspricht der Komfort des Zimmers durchaus dem Holliday Inn. Der Service an der Reception war gut. Es kommt aber drauf an, wer gerade dort ist: Ich hatte einen sehr zuvorkommenden Mann an einem Tag und am nächsten Tag eine Frau, die nicht wusste, wie man ein Taxi für den Flughafen bestellt.. Das Frühstück ist gut: es gibt Rührei, Würste oder was ähnliches. Waffeln kann man sich selbst machen. Yoghurt und Cerials stehen auch bereit.
