Torreyana Grille - Located beneath the lobby and reached via a grand, central staircase, this enormous restaurant with copper detailing, floor-to-ceiling windows, and indoor pools with bubbling waterfalls, offers an exhibition kitchen, wicker chairs, a cocktail lounge, terrace dining, and a changing menu of upscale, American cuisine for all meals.
Coffee Bar - Coffee drinks are provided at this lobby bar. Open from early morning until early afternoon.

Hilton La Jolla Torrey Pines features a large outdoor pool as well as three lighted tennis courts. Passes (surcharge) are available to the adjacent Shiley Sports Center, and guests can use the full-service spa (surcharge) at the neighboring Lodge at Torrey Pines.
The hotel is next to the Torrey Pines Golf Course and less than one mile from Torrey Pines beach and Torrey Pines Nature Reserve.
Mission Bay Aquatic Park, 12 miles from the hotel, also affords numerous recreational opportunities. Hot-air balloon rides depart at dawn and dusk year-round (weather permitting) from Del Mar, five miles away. Bicycle and jogging paths run alongside the Pacific Coast Highway.

It was only 3 days after staying in a less than stellar place in Anaheim, that I flew to San Diego for business. What a contrast in places! Beautiful lobby, very attentive staff, great room that was clean, nice balcony, flat screen TV, linens were very clean and contemporary, and the bed was fabulous (wish I had that one). I wish I had been here for […] vacation instead of business. However, there's no refrigerator, just a sealed cabinet that had obviously been a place for the fridge at one point. Parking is overpriced. If I were giving separate ratings, I'd give the parking only 2 stars, not for the service but for the price. It's twenty two dollars for self-parking and twenty seven dollars for valet parking. I used the valet parking because I had equipment to transport and it was worth that extra five bucks not to deal with the parking. On another website, the management siad that the high parking price was because the parking was close and secure. Hmm. Isn't that what it's SUPPOSED to be? The location is very isolated (I think Bad Guys would need a GPS to find it), so I don't see safety being a big issue. I enjoyed my stay at the Hilton Torrey pines. I was disappointed with the decore of the interior of the hotel. The hotel is a bit far from everything, even La Jolla. The hotel could need some updates, but is overall in good condition. Relatively noisy on the weekends with mix of vacationeers and business travelers. Very expensive parking given so far out. Same with internet access. While the hotel itself was plesant I found our room less than average. In particular our bathroom, dark hairs on the door,cieling and wall. This is a nice place and will probably come back with family. The rooms are nice decor is just fine but not notable. 25 valet and 20 self-parking seems a bit much. There is also a charge for in room internet but its free in the common areas...why not just make it free in rooms as well. There is a coffee bar in the lobby but most of the table are 4 tops […] with only 1 or 2 people at each table I think more 2 tops would be better. This is a good location for the businesses in the area golfing at Torrey Pines, and good location to head north to Lego Land or South to the Zoo or Sea World and the Gas lamp quarter.
