"2.5 stars at best"
I have stayed here before, but the first time I went through a private owner. It was nice and the owner was great. This time I booked online and the experience was completely different. The front desk wasn't friendly, after check-in you are greeted by someone who wants you to buy more nights and do a tour of the facility. The room was old, had small […] shower, no tub, the shower head was the kind that you take off the wall and use by hand. It was not mounted very high and would not stay straight. The furniture blocked the hallways and door to the bedroom. The door to the bathroom blocked the counter and sink when open. Awkward layout overall, it felt crowded and small. Appliances were old. We did not get back until late that night and there was absolutely no parking, so we had to park our car in front of the lobby and then it took us a 1/2 hour to find the way to our room. The hotel is not convienent to get to the different lodges. As we were trying to find our room, I noticed lots of garbage in the hallways and the carpet is very worn. I have stayed in 4 star hotels before and this room and experience was DEFINITELY not luxury. Very disappointed, especially for what we paid for one night. They also have 10am check out and no late check out options. Would not stay here, unless I went through private owner. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Not as Expected"
This a beautiful location that falls short on service, rooms and food. The room described in the reservation was half the size, no fire place or balcony. The food was horrible. Cold tough chicken and hot deviled eggs. Staff not helpful in resolving problems. We don't miss often on locations we have booked on hotels.com but this one did not meet sta […] ndards. "Very disappointed"
I have never spent this much money to be treated so poorly. When we arrived at 11 pm, the power to the entire town was out. Recognizing that this is outside of the hotel staff's control, we expected to make adjustments. We didn't expect the level of service to go down! While checking in, the front desk staff didn't know whether our room was clean or […] not, and said, "If you get there and find out it's not clean, you can come back and let us know." We had to find our way through two different parking garages, three wings of the hotel, and six floors - in the dark - before we found our room. The front desk said he couldn't tell us how to get to the room, and he didn't have a map. He said we could talk to guest services, but there was no one at the desk. We passed a dozen hotel employees who could have checked our room to make sure it was clean before we got there, and guided us to it. The front desk didn't have any spare flashlights, and we brushed our teeth in complete darkness. When we were ready for breakfast in the morning, we were unable to find a resaurant in the hotel. After wandering around for 15 minutes, we finally found a hotel staffer. We asked where the restaurant was and he was very curt with his directions. When we got there the restaurant was closed! That night, after being out all day, we were then told that there was no room service, bar or restaurant available after 10 pm. The staff said we'd have to drive 10 miles, "into town" if we wanted food or a cocktail. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Never staying there again."
They didn't have our room ready. We had to wait for an hour and 1/2 for our room. At literally 1 minute after check out time there was a knock at the door asking us to leave as soon as possible. They knocked 2 more times in the next 15 minutes as we were gathering our things. The AC worked overly well in the bedroom and not at all in the living room. […] My husband and I were frozen out and my baby, who was sleeping in the living room, woke up wet with sweat. Her little cheeks were bright red :( We even left the doors all open and the ceiling fan on. It really was dreadful!! Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"spa?"
Should not be advertised as a resort and spa when the spa is closed 2 days a week (the only 2 days I was staying there). Especially, when the spas in town are open 7 days a week. Resort under construction, so had to hear all that noise every day (not relaxing at all). Their advertised market was also closed during my stay, so had to go to town to get […] what I needed. Far from downtown attractions. My credit card also got charged $250 instead of the $50 they said they would hold for incidentals. Would NOT recommend. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Beautiful, but customer service is non-existent!"
From the SLC airport, it takes about 40 mins to drive to the Westgate. During our drive, I called to see if we could get early check-in since we would be arriving around 10 a.m. & check in was at 4 p.m. The front desk placed me on hold so they could "see if they had anything available." After 20 mins of being on hold, we were pulling up to the property […] when they got back w/me, & didn't even know what I was calling about. I had to remind them that we wanted early check in. Their next response was, "you will have to come in & we can evaluate our room availability at that time." When we walked into their lobby less than 2 mins later, we were not given a kind greeting, nor were we hardly acknowledged for being on our honeymoon. They were not able to get us an early check in. The week continued in this fashion & we gathered we were not high priority because before any service was rendered they asked if we were "Westgate owners." During the trip we went to their spa for couples massages. Not only did the receptionist completely ignore our entrance to the spa for at least 20 seconds, she didn't acknowledge it being our honeymoon or my actual birthday, both things which were brought up. I would never stay in a Westgate facility again because of their lack of customer service & attitudes. The grounds were lovely & the massage therapists did a great job w/services, but everything else was subpar. They boast Expedia gave them Customer Service of the year, which I disagree with highly! "Nice looking rooms, but the worst Customer Service"
The rooms were nice rooms and should be for the price, But, the parking garage was awful, the washer/dryer didn't work, the ice maker didn't work, you couldn't order anything from their Pizza Hut after 8pm (use the one in Park CIty, they were better, faster and better menu), can't check in until 4pm, even though the rooms are ready, have to check out […] at 10am (there will be someone at your door at 10am with a clipboard telling you to get out), the people who work there complain about guests (a bell hop, spoke about guests in the winter being demanding and act like they are owed something), all employees feel put out, they don't smile, they are rude, and you should just go to the hotels next door. We visited those and just visiting them we received more service than the hotel I paid for. Beware of this place and when you stay there and things like this happen to you, don't say you weren't warned. Good luck. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Bad Experience"
Parking was bad, Bed was really uncomfortable and the check out time is 10:00 am and they won't extend for a later checkout time. I would not recommend this hotel.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Broken A/C"
I thought we were getting a King Bed based on what Expedia told me. We ended up with Queen. Not a huge deal, but we still didn't get what we wanted. The worst part was waking up at 3 am because we were both so hot. The a/c was not working. Called the front desk and they suggested we open the window. That caused my wife's allergies to flare up. Luckily […] we were less than an hour from home. We had gone there to celebrate our anniversary. At 4:30 am we packed up and told the front desk we were leaving and we wanted a refund. The guy at the desk gave us refund without any argument. That was a plus. Funny memory, frustrating night. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Westage Tight Suites and Requires Some Maintnance"
The Westage could be very good for families with its game room, pool area and proximity to skiing. Parking is excellent. However, the "B Suite" King rooms with pullout couch and kitchenette rooms (versus "A Suites") were the smallest and tightest we have seen in years -- no room to even place luggage or ski gear and the older buildings rooms require […] some maintenance. Cannot recommend unless you are willing to pay much more more for "A Suite." Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

Our room was a lot smaller than we expected and the floor wasn't very clean. the tile had pieces of gravel and dust all over it! The dishwaasher was so loud that we couldn't here each other talk. The DVD player wasn't connected and my husband had to connect it to the tv and adjust it to work. The dishes were so high up in a cupboard that we needed to […] climb on a counter to get them down. The bathroom wall had a lot of dirt on it and really needed a good deep clean. The sheets were clean to at a glance but as we pulled the blankets all the way down there was a stain on the fitted sheet that could only be explained as black grease! Not happy! "Find another hotel"
When we got up to our room they had just started cleaning it. We were told it would be 30 minutes. I called the front desk and they were less than helpful. No apology or change in room. Our kids were tired and we had been driving for 6 hours. Still no apology. Rooms are new and very nice but not complete. Large picture in living area was missing but […] had the wall hangers were up. Our view on the third floor was of the back parking lot and partly underground. It was next to the mechanical room which was extremely loud. Too loud to sit outside. There are several condos in the area that are very nice and for the same price. I definitely suggest booking one of the other hotels. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
