Rooms were definitely "dated" and while we realize it is very humid in this area, the rooms had a distinct musty smell, especially after the rain.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
The resort is lovely--common areas, restaurant, etc. However, the rooms are in bad need of updating. We were upgraded to a king suite, but it still looked like a 70's remodel.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Very Prívate"
The place is isolated from other attractions near the woodlands, it makes you feel so relaxed, lots of woods n trails to have a romantic walk during the day or in the afternoon. I just wish they would renovate the inside of the roomsGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Customer service"
Upon arriving to the resort very tired, we were disappointed to be showed to a room that did not match the description we actually booked! The room we booked advertised that it came with a balcony or patio and had neither... We were moved to a room that matched what we actually booked, but the desk clerk wasn't very cooperative at first! Two of the […] bellhops were awesome in assisting us with our luggage, while one sat on the cart while we loaded and unloaded our luggage ourselves offering no assistance whatsoever! We were also charged for valet which we did not use for a vehicle description that did not even match what we were driving. Room service food is way over priced for the quality of food served! While this is a beautiful place, it could use these minor improvements! Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Not what the advertisement on the website depicts"
I was very excited to surprise my husband for our anniversary with a stay in a "resort" hotel in the Woodlands and couldn't wait to get there. The website depicted a beautiful room with plush ammenities. To my dismay, I was shocked to be given directions to a co-located apartment-looking facility down the street from the main building. There was no […] mention of this being a detached "resort" hotel. I expected to have the convenience of going downstairs for dining or drinks. We get to our room to see two double beds. I reserved a King room. They said I requested a double room, but after letting them know that we were there to celebrate our anniversary they gave us a King suite; a two story bedroom loft with a very narrow, steep metal spiral staircase. Scary. There was nothing plush about anything in the room except the towels. The rooms were old, there was no sink (except in the bathrooms) or microwave; bathrooms were musty, and overall it was very outdated and disappointing. We had huge water bugs that would come and rest inside the toilet. On the good side, the bed was comfortable and the grounds were very nice with lots of pretty landscaping. We attended a concert at the Pavillion and the location was very convenient to that venue. They also have a great Sunday brunch. I don't think I'd pay to come back, but if I were close by I would definitely do brunch again. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Very Expensive...outdated rooms"
We stayed in the rooms on the outside of the pool side area. The employess are very rued and were not very helpful. I found old milk and old takeout upon arriving in our room. THe food was good but very expensive. The pools were clean...and the kids really enjoyed them. They had to close the pool 3 hours early one night because of rain in the area. […] It never rained and didnt even see a cloud in the sky. That made guests very angry... Iwould bring your own food and drinks...otherwise it can get very expensive. "Semi close to the ampitheather"
Was checked into first room that was not ready, went back to front desk and was reassigned another room.Upon attempted entry to second room, maintenance personnel stopped me to inform that water was being turned off for 2 hours. Was finally checked in to 3rd and final room. Lot of wasted time that was needed on my behalf to get ready for my personal […] event planned for the evening. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Value for families"
Enjoyed the pool and the quiet atmosphere. Price was decent. Service was good except room service. Room service was nice but they forgot one breakfast, then brought it and still forgot coffee and then forgot the bacon. It took three trips and 30 minutes from delivery start to finish for us to get our two kids meals and one regular breakfast. Regarding […] the front desk, they let us have a generous late check out but we wish they would have told us originally that the pool slide closes before the pool closes and so does the poolside bar and cafe. Hotel bed was great but the rest of the room was quite dated and not in good repair. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"House Hunting Trip"
My kids loved the oasis pool, the hotel rooms need a little updating and especially the bathrooms. The property is very nice, but you can tell it is an older resort.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Nice hotel but...."
Nice hotel if you are in the woodlands area. But Service at pool side was a bunch of kids and very unprofessional. One other knock was the lack of parking. Had to park in another lot down from the hotel every night and walk to the hotel. Room was clean and hotel did look nice.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"woodland resort in Woodlands Tx"
I expected at least a mini-fridge/microwave in the 'deluxe' room, but there wasn't. The pool was 3 blocks away from the room - though the resort did offer golf cart service from room to pool area. The room was nice, but nothing special. The outside area looked worn. Would not stay there againGenuine Hotels.com guest review
Response by The Woodlands Resort & Conference Center Thank you for taking time to share your experience with us. "Facilities/Rooms need updating"
For the price paid, we could have stayed in a newer hotel. I thought the facilities/rooms were outdated and in need of renovation. However, the property and views from the room were very nice! The bed and linens were comfortable and we enjoyed the Bath and Body Works sundries. I just thought the overall experience for what we paid could have been b […] etter. "Dated in the Woodlands"
The overall look of the resort was nice, but the room felt and looked dated, thin walls and ceilings... we could hear other guests...all night, really loud plumbing sounds from rooms above us and breakfast NOT included. Not a good deal compared to other Hotels in their price range...we will not stay there again.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Woodlands resort"
decided to stay here bc i was @ a golf tourny all weekend. convenient location but VERY dated hotel. TINY bathrooms, old fixtures, etc. great place to stay if you wanted to play golf on the propertyGenuine Hotels.com guest review

Conference center and facilities are nice, golf courses are great. The actual rooms need updating, they were clean but in desperate need of renovation.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"More amenities"
I was very impressed with the staff. They were friendly and professional. The bicycles needed to be better maintained. They were falling apart and needed air. The rooms needed more amenities. There was no fridge or microwave. I felt that the room was overpriced for what you actually got, but they were clean. The food was excellent and the waterpark […] very enjoyable. The conference center was well decorated. I loved being in the woods. It was a good place to get away. Pick a room near the waterpark. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Nice Room, Poor Room Location"
I like the room. Clean and comfortable. But the room they gave me was a long ways from the main center. Also, the resort was working outside our complex at 5:30am with a beeping sound from a tractor. I called the front desk to ask about the work and they never called me back. Expected a little more for the price i paid for the evening.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"OLD VS NEW"
This hotel has two separate locations and is very spread out on the property. Make sure you are in the new building or you will have to take a golf cart to the pool. The pictures on website are very deceiving. You will need a map and a trail of breadcrumbs to find workout room or pools. Maids do not replace coffee, cups, glasses etc. The staff at the […] resturant is the best thing at the property, they went out of their way to help us locate the new pool. Hotel will shut down all pools on property if it sprinkles and will not open them back up hours later. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

This resort, while clean and well kept, is quite dated and really not worth the price of admission, despite all of the amenities in the area.
