"Quick and easy access, with comfy room"
Our stay was very nice. The hotel was very convenient to everything and very comfortable. (Beware, however, that Mapquest directs you to turn right on Stratmoor Dr. NW, after you get off the freeway northbound, when in reality, the road is just Stratmoor Dr., with the left turn at that intersection being Stratmoor Dr. E) Every staff member we met, including […] the facilities person with whom we road the elevator, was exceptionally friendly; I believe every single one inquired whether our stay was ok and if we needed anything. Great training and carry-through, everyone! The breakfast was super, especially for folks like me who don't eat carbs (plenty of protein on the menu). As always, we were very glad for the refrigerator in our room. The ONLY thing I wished for (thus the "4" sted "5"above) was a "old-fashioned" multi-cup coffee maker, with liquid cream. I hate dried "creamer" which is mostly sugar; and much prefer the opportunity to have more than one cup. The trend to a single-serving coffee set-up, IMO, is unfortunate. I had a one night business trip to Canton area. My stay with La Quinta met all of my requirements- clean, safe and quiet. It is located on hotel hill, near several other hotels with easy access to I-77. The property is in near new condition after a recent renovation. LCD TV made for a movie-like experience. "Excellent with exception of internet connection"
I would definitely recommend this hotel on all counts except for internet connection speed. During the morning hours (from about 3am - 11am) the internet connection was fine. From 11am - 3pm it got pretty slow, and from 3pm - 3am it was unusable. I was unable to work from the hotel. I read the reviews ahead of time and this place did not dissappoint. the rooms were so comfy I didn't want to leave and the daily breakfast was on point every morning I was there(3days). I was in Canton on business and spent 2 nights at La Quinta. The hotel was very comfortable and in a great location. Restaurants, shopping and movies were within a few blocks.
