"Typical tacky AC hotel"
Front desk was courtious enough but didn't really get the job done at all. Room we "booked" were "filled" at 3:15PM so we got the less desirable room. And EVEN THEN they got it wrong, we ended up in a SINGLE double bed. I didn't bother to complain, we're thin enough couple. Wi-fi was a total joke but with so many old people, they probably don't care […] about younger family let alone any technology. Decor was very cheesy & tacky - Hello~Jersey Shore~~ - but again we're in AC, not in Paris. Room was overall clean at the first glance, but when I went to sleep, there were hairs everywhere around bed and two of three pillows even had women's lipstick in them. YUCK!!! Bottom line is that the cleaning staffs need to be better. Also, I choosed buy-one-&-get-one-free buffet, frankly I choosed this hotel over others because of that, and it was a bad joke. Breakfast buffet -very salty, soggy & leathery - was 18 bucks and cost four of us ten bucks each anyway. I would've gone to teh worst diner in AC and got a better meal than that. "Nice and clean but doesn't close to boardwalk."
It is a very clean, new, and nice casino that good to game and stay but not a perfect place for family with little kids....The location itself is quite far from the boardwalk or beach and there is no other attractions near by, so kids ends up stay in the casino for TV. "New Hotel"
Food was expensive, but tasted okay except for the Japaneese place that made me sick. The best food deal was the buffet. Gambling was fun, but I did not win on this trip. "Travel to Boardwalk was inconvenient"
We loved our stay at the Golden Nugget rooms were awesome and hotel was beautiful. However, our intention was to visit the boardwalk and it is somewhat inconvenient to get there from this Hotel. Either you pay to leave and then pay to park elsewhere it was costing 10-15 dollars to travel to boardwalk each time. The Jitney was even more and my family […] feared for their life the whole trip! (They are professional drivers I understand but some of these guys were a little crazy) Just saying some sort of shuttle service to boardwalk would have been an added convenience.... We stayed in a connection room and heard every words from next door. First night, young girls talked and giggled loudly over 11 o'clock. 2nd night, old drunkards talked and laughed loudly beyond 3 o'clock am. We had to complain to the front desk each time. "Safety concerns"
When my son and I were at the pool two men came into my room while my elderly mother was in bed. They may have accidentally double booked the room! I had to report the concern to security! The Golden Nugget has just completed their take over and update of the property and they have done a wonderful job in every aspect in the process. The rooms were clean and had new furniture and beds. All the features in the room worked without exception. Hotel/Casino security kept the guest areas private and quiet. The heated pool was a lot of fun, […] the hot tubs were clean and the drink and food specials made our day in the sun a highlight. Parking was only $5 for the entire stay. I put the car in Valet upon arrival and used the self pay every other time. Get a receipt on your first exit and reuse it after each trip out. I was verry excited about my stay here it was a trip both my family and i were looking forward to. However my parents had to move there room 3 times do to problems one being a huge hole in the wall. The atm machines went down for hours and when i asked a stay member if they had any suggestions they said go to another casino. My stay at Golden Nugget was great. My deluxe room was spacious and very clean. We had a great view from the 14th floor. Service was great.
