Hotel is old and the rooms and bedding show the age. First day of the business trip there was no hot water. Front desk it didn't seem to care. "Hotel experience"
We visited in January and they were one of the only two hotels in the area that had their pool open. The unfortunate thing was the pool hours were limited so after a long day of work, we were not able to get to use it all. Be sure to call ahead to get pool hours if this is important. Also, there were no directions (signs) in the casino from the self […] park garage to the check in area. We could not find anybody to ask directions either. That was a frustrating first impression. "Room was just OK"
This was a basic room for the amount of money we paid. The TV in the room was old. It was basically a 20" TV(not a flat screen) & the remote did not work. "Good, except for closed restaurants"
Everything worked out fine at the hotel, where I've stayed before. However, none of the restaurants were open except the pizza place. Even room service was closed. No one advised me of this at check in, though they did assist and give me take out menus. "Time for an UPDATE"
The staff was friendly. The hotel was close to the AC convention center and had parking for our 20' enclosed trailer. The hotel itself is BADLY in need of an update. The rooms are EXTREMELY dated. "Beach, boardwalk and bare necessities"
I was in town for a conference, not for gambling - this hotel is set up for gamblers, not for business visitors. Furnishings really show wear and tear, but the rooms was super clean and a 3-plus-star experience for a 1-star price. Great bargain.
