"would stay again but....."
Room was very clean....no complaints at all. The hotel was just a few blocks from all the action and boardwalk. I was prepared to take cabs to and from my destanations but someone told me about the jitney...which runs up and down the main ave and stops at every corner. This was very helpful. The area around hotel not so good...a little uncomfortable […] but if you mind your business you will be fine. This was my first time in A.C so I wasn't sure what to expect I was a little surprised not what I pictured in my head. Hotel just 1 long block from boardwalk near The Taj Mahal.. overall clean..Very nice sleek modern decor in the lobby..but the rest of the place (hall ways and rooms) could use a facelift.. The price is great and the hotel is nice. The neighborhood is a little scary at night. Its not in a good neighborhood. Coming back late at night there were questionable people across the street. This hotel was what I was expecting. A cheap hotel close enough to the casinos and the boardwalk to make it worth the stay. "DMB Caravan"
I stayed for the 2011 Dave Matthews Caravan Festival. The staff was amazing and the little attached diner was clutch for coffee and breakfast. This hotel was better than I expected. When I stay at a HoJo and the like, I ask for one thing: reasonably comfortable beds. I would rate the bed a 7 out of 10, and certainly better than I've experienced at comparably priced hotels (especially in AC). We were on the Boardwalk within 3-4 minutes, and there were some fun if sketchy local bars nearby. […] All in all, an entirely reasonable choice, particularly if you can get it on sale.
