The Annex at the Chelsea

This is not a fancy or luxury hotel, but it is sufficient if all you need is a place to sleep after drinking all night. The rooms were clean and provided a comfortable sleeping environment. Biggest problem was that there was not a full length mirror in the room.

staff was great; valet parking was only $10 and the rooms were OK for the price. The bathroom was outdated but really no complaints. Try to avoid rooms on the street side, as the noise can be bothersome.

Hotel was decorated nicely but dated. But that doesn't really matter because the staff was nice and valet was very convenient for Atlantic City. Nice pool, clean and safe, safe as anyone could feel in the city anyway.

the location with the boards and the beach are perfect between the Trop and Atlantic Club....this is an older hotel thats comfortable ...we had a balcony room pool side that we enjoyed but the room needs some renovation but i do like the fact thats its away from the hustle and the bustle from the monster casinos,,,sitting and having dinner outside and […] poolside was the first for me in AC ....we stayed during the week so didnt get to experience the party on the 5th floor roof top but wandered in that area and looked around at nite and wow its awsome...the meal we had poolside was great and the happy hour prices are great......this hotel is family friendly and party friendly.....I cant say more for the staff they were friendly and funny and that says alot......if its your first time at this hotel wander around and take advantage of what they have to offer ....I will be back Read more

My group stayed in the Annex. We reserved two rooms under the same name but they could not accommodate for two rooms with a joined door. While the lobby, pools and main part of the hotel were very nice, the rooms in the annex were dated and we blew fuses several times while blow drying hair at same time as the room next door. I have stayed previously at The Chelsea....so I thought the Annex half would be just as good. It's not....It is clean and the staff are wonderful. But the room was a little on the shabby side.... It is in a good location,and there is a 24 hour store right next door. Over all depending the rate of other hotels I would possibly stay here again.....

The Chelsea was a good hotel in a good location with great amenities. The staff was very accomodating and very friendly. My ONLY complaint is that the rooms seemed like they had been through more than one frat party. Several things were either broken or needed some TLC. We should of had a picture on the wall but it had been removed leaving a vacant […] square and some holes, the sliding glass door to the balcony did not slide without using full body weight to open or close, the shower curtain rod was loose and the entryway wall light looked as if it had been punched in. These things were easily dismissed since we spent little time in the room and we got the discounted room rate. If we had paid full price I would've complained to the hotel staff while we were there. This hotel has really been designed to appeal to women. They've really done a great job decorating the common areas. The spa, club, and restaurant are all gorgeous and really don't necessitate you to even leave the place to have a good time. The hotel is located right on the boardwalk and within walking distance to everything fun in Atlantic City. This was the first time staying at the Annex and didn't care much for the view of the room, it was noisy! Next time, I will stay at The Chesea (main hotel) for a great view of the ocean!

We really had a good time in A.C. Our only complaint was the elevator in the Annex was slow slow, we mostly walked the 4 flights was quicker than waiting for the elevator. The Annex had a great rate, and I see why. It needs an update. It is fine for a short stay. But next time I would like to try the Tower..

The room itself was clean but there were some maintenance issues. There was mold and peeling paint in the bathroom. Plus, in order to use one of the lamps, you had to unplug the television. The annex is connected to the Chelsea and while its quality and upkeep is more dated then the Chelsea it was well worth the price for us. Some other reviews had given me a slightly off impression before my arrival, but it was a great stay. Everyone was professional and courteous. Valet was excellent, room clean and comfortable. Great view of the Pool. Nice lounge for a personal experience in the hotel, close to one of my favorite casino's Tropicana (where there are great bars and clubs […] that stay open almost all night). Cabs came quick and continuous. Perfect for the Usher concert, then the next day walked the boardwalk down to Resorts for all you can eat buffet while enjoying the shops, beach, mall, Ripleys believe it or not and to top it off caught a push cart back for $10 bucks while Chelsea Annex kept our car free of charge.... very satisfying and well priced! The negative, is the hotels old, but polished up... it worked out tho. Note: parking is valet only. The lobby of the Chelsea was gorgeous, but as we made our way down the hall to the "Annex", we realized the hotel was more like a motel. Beds were comfy and clean, but bathroom in major need of renovation and water never got hot in the shower.
