If you look at the photos, you see a room that's not half bad. Contemporary furniture, bright colors, and a big, fresh bed. However, it's what you CAN'T see in the photo that reminds you you're getting what you paid for. The mattresses aren't firm....they're bricks. Literally bricks. It was like sleeping on an elevated floor. Both the fridge and the […] microwave ( which are behind those pretty cabinet doors) had dents in them. Oh, and the overhead nightstand lamps were slashed to the point that they looked like they might've been operated by Edward Scissorhands. We chose Days Inn Dishkill because it was about halfway home and they advertised that they had a HD Television. In the end, though, that was about the only positive of the stay. We stayed two nights at this hotel to go to Ny sheep & wool fest. The hotel was quiet and clean and easy to travel from. We did have to wait about 10mins for our room to be ready (we were checking in at 515pm). The continental breakfest was very disapointing. On one of our days, the water was shut off for 4 hours! A note was posted the day before, indicating this was scheduled maintenance. "Fine if you are on a budget"
Not sure if this is a 3 star hotel. As I first entered the small elevator, I thought maybe they didn't have the money to upgrade. The room smelt stale as I walked in so I had to turn on the a/c and open a window. My biggest gripe was the bathroom tub wasn't as nice as I expected it to be. The metal ring around the tub faucet was missing so when I was […] taking a bath I thought about the dirtiness of the faucet while I was tring to get clean. Then there is the handle bar placement phenomenon, too far away on the front side wall of the tub that i really didn't need it anymore once I got up. While going to the bathroom, I coulnt find the toilet paper since it was they were located behind the door, but if you close the door the room was too small and dark that it felt old and creepy.
