My husband I stayed at the Marv Herzog hotel recently, just to give a local place a try. What a pleasant surprise! It is a charming place, recently renovated and quite attractive. I planned a "Girls Getaway" for me and some of my best friends. I had looked at a lot of different hotels but finally settled on Marv Herzog. The choice was PERFECT! "Nice hotel with a great view"
My husband and I recently stayed at the hotel and we both were very pleased. I would recommend getting a balcony room with a view of the river as we did (the other side of the hotel is on the west side facing the busy road). We had gratis snacks and 2 glasses of wine in the evening. Since we were right downtown, we walked through some of the shops and […] went to dinner. The room was very spacious and had a great 2 person balcony so we could watch the river boats at sunset. There was also a great patio below us with comfortable chairs and tables. The Marv Herzog hotel is a very good location for those visiting Frankenmuth or nearby shopping mall at Birch Run. The staff checked us in quickly and we were very pleased that our room was ready early. It was modern, comfortable and well appointed, in fact only downside was that our room was on the road side of the hotel and there was traffic noise, […] but that is not the hotel's fault- just the popularity of the area. When you enter the front door, you are greeted with beautiful smiles. The people at the front desk are both friendly and helpful. The hotel is quiet and very clean. The fact that they do not have a pool means it is less appealing to those with children. That was an added plus for my husband and myself, as our stay was our weekend getaway honeymoon. […] Peace and quiet..ahhhhhh! The happy hour (with free wine/beer and snacks) is a nice touch. The breakfasts were good, as well. The hotel is such a quick walk to the Zenders Snowfest,, I was surprised. Only two things I would change. A newspaper in the morning outside our door would have been a welcomed addition. "Frankenmuth , Birch Run"
We go to Frankenmuth twice a year for the food and shopping at Birch Run from Canada. This is our first stay at this Hotel and we were most impressed. Clean spacious with great breakfasts, happy hour with two free drinks and snacks. Rooms with balconies overlooking the river, and a large patio to relax. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Marv Herzog Hotel. It was cozy, clean and the staff were very friendly and helpful.
