"Very satisfied"
We had a great experience with this hotel. Plenty of parking, check-in was a breeze and it is walking distance to everything. It is at the opposite end of Main Street from Bavarian Inn and Zehnders, with lots of shops and restaurants in between. The room was spacious enough and had a large flat screen tv, mini-fridge, microwave, very comfortable beds […] with clean white linens, and a clean bathroom with full bathtub. Breakfast was good but not fancy. Scrambled eggs, sausage, potatoes, cereals, yogurt, fruit, toast, bagels, muffins and a waffle station. Plus coffee, tea, and juice. We never really encountered a line for anything during our weekend visit and there were always seats available. More than good enough to set ourselves up for a day of being tourists. Something unique is their “5:30 Kickback” each evening from 5:30 - 7:00. In the same room where they have breakfast they serve hot hors d'oeuvres and cocktails. Three beer, wine or cocktails per person included, soft drinks and juice free for everyone. We didn’t use the pool or hot tub while there, but others seemed to be happy with them. "Surprising extras"
I was amazed at the extras included with the stay. When we checked in, we were each handed a card good for 3 free alcoholic drinks during the evening hours. This could be wine, beer, or mixed drinks. They also provided a food buffet with pasta/meatballs, baked potatoes, salad, nachos, hot dogs. Soda and popcorn were available for free all afternoon […] and evening. On finding the Drury, I remembered how cute we thought it was on our last past through town. On check in, the staff was helpful in recommendations and directions. The hotel was booked to capacity but the staff treated us with ease and Frankenmuth charm. Our boys enjoyed the yummy breakfast the next morning too. Drury Inn and Suites of Frankenmuth is located just up the hill from all the attractions of Frankenmuth. I would've ranked the condition of the motel much higher, but they were going through a reconstruction project to improve the hotel. I found the hotel to be centrally located to the charming little shops in frankenmuth. It was conveniently within walking distance to most shops and food places. I enjoyed being able to have the option of eating their free food that they provide, however i did not eat it so I cannot comment on it. I did however enjoy the continental breakfast. There […] was an abundance of people all swarming the food area, however it was kept stocked frequently and quickly. However the dining area is a little small. The room was clean, and the bed was extremely comfortable however there were no trash bags in the room only small trash cans with no liners. Having taken my 5 month old daughter with me I found it inconvenient and unsanitary to throw her diapers in the unlined trash cans. "Dog Show Weekend - Allergic to Pet Dander"
WHen we checked in at night, we saw lots of pets. Found out it was a dog show weekend. Being allergic to pet dander I was surpriseed there was no mention on the website or a warning on the email confirmation stating the dog show. Our hotel was warm feeling and clean. There was a popcorm machine waiting for us when we arrived at 9p. The pool was open too. The front desk clerk was friendly and gave us a couple tips on to where to eat dinner at. Tiffany's was great food and great drinks. The hotel had a free breakfast with the BEST waffles ever. We booked the room based on 2 adults and 3 children. We were booked into sort of a mini-suite which accomodated all of us perfectly! The hotel room itself was very neat and organized, and very clean. Unfortunately the hotel was undergoing some minor renovations during our stay. It did not disrupt us in the least. We choose this hotel particularly because it was pet friendly and had good reviews on trip advisor. This hotel is not lavish or a 5 star but it was clean, pet friendly and steps away from shops and attractions. What we did not know were the extra perks the hotel offered. Upon check in we were told about the nightly drink and snack option. Basically […] every night guests are given a voucher for 2 free alcoholic beverages as well as a buffet of food at no charge. As well soft drinks were complimentary from 3-10pm every day as was popcorn in the main lounge. We also got a free hot breakfast buffet each day and were entitled to 60 mins free long distance a day within the U.S. and 15 mins to Canada and Mexico. We stayed 2 nights and considered staying a 3rd. The rooms were not large but they were clean and the hotel was quiet. We would definatley stay here again.
