They seriously need to buy some liquid plumber for the sinks and shower. I was standing in about 4" of water by the time I was done with my shower.

We stayed here because we were in town for a concert at the Palace theater, it was so super close, it was the easiest in and out of a concert, it took less than five minutes to walk from the door of the hotel to the venue. The hotel itself was spacious and clean. The staff was was friendly and helpful.

My stay at the DoubleTree in downtown Columbus,Ohio was wonderful. The hotel staff was excellent and made certain that I had everything I needed and more. They were courteous and even showed me some of the other rooms that were available in the hotel. It showed how proud they were of where they were employed. From the moment we arrived. the front desk was very friendly and accomodating. I had forgotten about the fresh warm chocolate chip cookie! Our room was very nice and we were centally located to the theatre we were going to and downtown, and short North area.

Overall the hotel was great. The air conditioning was not fully functioning in our room. It felt very humid and not as cool as it should be. A maintenance person did come check it out and adjusted something but it was still not 100%. We were not offered a new room or a discount.

We travel to Columbus frequently for business. We usually stay in the Residence Inn, but it was booked this time, so we opted for the Doubletree. We loved the location--walking distance to COSI and the Scioto Mile--the room had ample space and the beds were comfortable. However, the air conditioner did not work very well when we got there, the refrigerator […] had to be 15 years old and missing some pieces, and the room just needed some refurbishment. Very disappointing. Awakened Saturday morning just after 8:00 am to the sound of jackhammers in the garage a few floors below. Complained to the front desk and was told "we're sorry, we didn't know, can't do anything about it." Heard that story repeated several times either in person or as the front desk answered calls from other guest rooms. We had two bad nights. Saturday morning May 5th we were awaken at 6 am by loud speakers and music preparing for the race that day. There were NO signs posted anywhere in the hotel or our room making us aware of this. When we called the front desk, they told us the city knew about this race and we said, we were from out of town so how would we know about […] it...never were able to go back to sleep since noise didn't stop outside until 9 am. We usually prefer to stay at a Doubletree because they're always nice and beds are so comfortable. The chocolate chip cookies are always a plus too, but had to ask for them at this location. The hotel wasn't close to the venue where we were going, but stayed at our preferred hotel anyway. A friend told me that parking shouldn't cost as much as their […] site quoted because he had parked in that garage for events without staying at the hotel for $3-5. However, at check in, they told me it was $15 for the day ($20 if you want in/out privileges) and would cost much more if I paid by the hour so I believed them and paid for parking in advance. When we tried to pull in to what we thought was the hotel garage on the same side as the hotel lobby entrance and showed them our paid receipt, we then learned that this was NOT the hotel parking! It would have only cost about $3 and since you pay as you enter, they don't charge by the hour. They told us there that the hotel garage was up and around the corner, but all seemed to be part of the same building. This was very confusing and I felt ripped off. My reco is to not pay for parking thru hotel and park in the garage that is right there on same side as entrance to the hotel for a lot less! Read more

The suite was very spacious with a large common area. However, if you want someone to sleep in the living room pullout sofa, they have to come through the 'bedroom' to get to the bathroom. Parking is very expensive, 15$/night (+5$/night for in/out). There is a 6$ flat rate parking lot a few blocks away. ask for free cookies!

My major compaint is the $20 a night parking fee for this hotel, also not too many restaurants in the immediate vicinity.
