"Nice Hotel"
Nice hotel but 10.for parking, 13. for breakfast. No restaurants within walking distance. Bar/Grill not open after 10.00 or even Saturday afternoon. You can walk over the bridge to Jacksonville Landing but it is about a mile and a half. Room a little small for a Hilton Garden. Nice staff. Half the building is another Hilton hotel. "The Hilton Garden Inn - Jacksonville"
I thought the hotel and room were very clean and looked pretty new. The decor was nice and modern. The front desk person when we first arrived was not very professional or service oriented. He didn't even bother to look at us until I said something to him, and even then didn't bother giving us much eye contact. He seemed bored and wasn't very helpful […] or welcoming. The air conditioning units inside the room was VERY loud, and made it hard to sleep - even with the earplugs provided. "Reason we stayed"
After first not being told by hotel.com who book our stay that there would be no 1st floor rooms available due to repairs. I checked on in, then was not told about the air adjustable beds. just to wind up with a horrible nights rest on a bed that In could have adjusted if I had been made aware!! Anyway Rose at the desk the next morning, with her GREAT […] ATTITUDE saved me from checking out by comping breakfast for us and moving us to a new room after explaining the adjustable bed valves.
