The hotel was great . They held my bags while I ran a 5k across the street then when I finished the race. I was allowed to check in early which was a Godsend. The room was clean, and had a great view of the parking lot. I had to search for the coffee/tea tray and then find a plug to plug it into. I will stay again if I run 2 races in one day.

The hotel was advertised as "within walking distance" of the event I was attending, which isn't a lie...but it's a long walk. Not a walk you want to take after being on your feet all day long. That is my only complaint! The hotel service and cleanliness was outstanding. I would stay there again.

There was a country music festival at the same time we were staying there. At two in the morning, young people returning to their rooms were nosiy and kept us up. Next time I'll ask if there is anything like that going on and if there is, I will choose another hotel.

My only complaint is that the mirror outside the bathroom is in a dark alcove and is useless due to lighting. Overall the stay was fine. We had stayed there over 23 years ago. Would stay again.

There was a mix-up over my hotel reservation (payment) and rather than attempt to contact me by phone or leave me a message to contact the front desk they locked me out of my room. When I told them I had a receipt but it was in my room it took 3 employees and me explaining the situation about 10 times (I payed for the room, the receipt is in my room, […] I can't get in my room because my key doesn't work) they finally reactivated my key, After going upstairs to get my receipt and bringing it back down to the front desk they tell me, "yes, we found the problem." You would think after all that (1) they would have apologized, and (2) they would've contacted me before I came all the way back down! Very disappointing to be treated that way! Read more

I was here five nights on business. This is a good -- but not outstanding -- hotel that tends to be slightly industrial rather than luxurious. I had an executive suite with "river or city views," but mine was a parking lot, the room was an awkward triangle that reduced its functionality, and the TV was in front of half the windows, so I can't recommend […] you spend more for the "better" room. The lobby staff was always friendly as I passed through, and offered me the use of the hotel shuttle to take me to local restaurants. If you are parking your own car, a sign in the convenient garage across the street says Omni guests have to park on the 8th floor, but when I asked the front desk about it, they knew nothing of this sign, and said I should park anywhere that wasn't reserved. The service in the hotel restaurant was not great, where one waiter told me she did not like any of the specials, and though she passed by regularly she did not stop to check on me and I had to flag her down if I wanted anything. The hotel is convenient to the freeway, but the neighborhood is nothing but office buildings -- some restaurants but no shops, outside of the rather seedy waterfront mall a block away. I went out early one evening to look for a magazine (the hotel shop has no reading material at all) and not even the hotel staff had any suggestions where I might look, apart from one lonely 7-11. This hotel was not bad if you are in town on business, but I wouldn't stay here if I were on vacation. Read more

Overall the hotel was amazing. Wish we could have stayed an extra day. Next year we will. The only complaint that we have is that there was a 10$ charge for the wifi connection. I wasn't told about this charge.

The hotel staff was excellent. The hotel is very clean and beautiful. Pool is small, but we weren't really there for the pool. The only thing I really didn't like was parking is $10 everytime you take out your car or $20 a day for valet (+ tip). The valet staff was excellent and very friendly. Second visit to this Hotel. Great location next to the Jacksonville landing. Only down point to this trip was that I think the fuse went out on some of the outlets in our room. Possibly unavoidable....but think turndown clean up service should have picked up on this anyways.

We booked the Omni for a short weekend trip to Jax for a concert across the street at the Moran Theater. The hotel is beautiful and well maintained. We had a premium king room with a view of the landing and river front. The room was clean and the bed was very comfortable. Only things I didn't like was the $20 per night to park, the WIFI was $10 per […] night and there wasn't a store in the lobby for refreshments. And, lastly room service knocked on our door at 8:00am the day we were checking out. Check out was not until 11, it felt like they were kicking us out! The only complaint is that there was a $20 a night charge for valet parking and when we asked if there were any other options, they failed to tell us that the lot across the street was only $10 a night. So if you stay there, do that.

The hotel was very nice and the rooms were clean. The only thing we had a problem with was there was not enough lighting in the room. There was lamps but the lamps did not give off enough light.

Nice hotel, but the beds are far too soft. My wife and I both left with sore backs and feeling tired from two nights of mediocre sleep. If they had firmer beds, the Omni would be one of the best hotels in which we've ever stayed. Thanks.

Enjoyed the view. The valet are a turn off. You just have to keep your ticket on you, be patient, and watch those guys. The room were a good size for 2 people, no more. The fridge took a while to get cool. I'd say just don't go into it thinking or expecting more than what you get. Comfy bed and nice bathrooms though.

Very friendly staff, specially Scott at the front desk and Sabrina in housekeeping. we didn't want the room cleaned the first second day but did the third; they didn't vacuum, leave clean glasses, wipe glass rings on nightstands, made the roll away bed, leave coffee supplies, clean the toilet. Next morning when room service delivered juice, after knocking the tray was left on the floor. $7 charge for internet for 15 minutes not cool, lesser hotels offer it for free. For the most part, the location of the hotel was optimal since there is really nothing else around in the general area. The Jacksonville Landing shopping complex is the only game in town and within a very short walking distance. The Tram is also located within steps of the hotel. Though it doesn't go very far, it is very convenient and offered a change […] of pace. The Juliette Restaurant in the hotel was nice and the wait staff was very pleasant. I was however very disappointed with the Gift Shop. It more resembled a small flea market with old and dusty merchandise. I didn't even realize just how cheesy it was until I went to the Hyatt Hotel just down the street. It was like night and day. For the Omni to have such prestige and upscale reputation, I expected more. It would have been nice if the ice machine room had a vending machine with soft drinks and a few snacks. Though we were given the option of getting snacks from the fridge in the room, that was an expense I just assume wanted to avoid. Overall, I had a relatively pleasant experience. Read more

Great hotel and overall a good place to stay downtown. Only downside would be the size of the pool and it's general lack lustre appeal. No amenities at that part of the hotel, which was very bare. I understand that it's not a resort pool, but it was very unappealing. I would stay here again.
