Although the well-kept homes suggest that all is prim and proper, affluent Metairie has a wild side. Along with its drive-through daiquiri stands, Metairie’s Fat City rivals Bourbon Street’s bars and clubs. One of its main attractions, however, offers solitude and peace. Just outside the city limits, the Metairie Cemetery’s graceful marble tombs and statues make it one of world’s great cemeteries.see all hotels in Metairie
Very disappointed.the rooms are run down, the ceiling has spots and is peeling off....and forget the free breakfast! You get a voucher for cereal or English muffin and a coffee at IHOP....still hungry? Order and pay for your meal the full price....stuck here for four more days :-(Genuine Hotels.com guest review

Just an outdated room with rock hard beds but you get what you pay for.overall it was clean . The location was a quick drive to bourbon st . And very very close to uscis. Having the Ihop attached was very nice.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"First New Orleans visit...romantic weekend."
Hotel is listed as right off of the interstate...It is after a mile on a service road. Hotel has significant water damage, mold, mildew odor and smell. Elevator was non functional during my stay.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Easy business commute. Liked the attached restaurant.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
elevator broke 1st night of our stay, corridors don't smell great, in one of the rooms the toilet seat was really worn down, 1 pillow lacked its casing, beds not comfortable & airco to loud, rooms very humid feelingGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Fine for the price"
Stayed during business travel. Enjoyed the 24 hour IHOP restaurant on the premises. Very convient to interstate and easy travel. Overall safe area of Metairie / New Orleans. Pricing very fair if booking online.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
The staff at the front desk was exceptional. The hotel itself is outdated and could use new carpet and most importantly new elevators. The main elevator was broken both days and we had to use the service elevator which smelled like oil and cigarette but atleast it was functional. The bed needs to be replaced as I am certain it was one of the worse but […] I didn't complain because it was only 50.00 for the night so you somewhat expect it. I have just traveled so much and stayed at numerous days inn chains and none have seen so outdated. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"ok for the money"
"push up arrow to go down" was the sign on the elevator. How weird is that? the smell in the hall going to the room is horrible but the room and personnel were fine.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Not bad for the price."
curteous staff. smelled funny in hall and elevator. slow drain in bathroom and ac didn't work in fitness room. continental breakfast was a joke.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Old but clean rooms"
It appears that this hotel may have been a prime place to stay, years ago. Lobby, elevator, halls very dated.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Stay here if you want to"
Night employee was kind of rude, but the morning employee was wonderful... Pool was cloudy, murky, and nasty looking, and we had been looking forward to going swimming but didn't because of the condition.. They need to learn what pool chemicals are... Some person's kids were running and screaming thru the lobby while we checked in at night... And the […] breakfast... HA the breakfast was a joke.. It consisted of a business card that you took to the adjoining IHOP where you were to chose Oatmeal, Cereal, Biscuit, Bagel OR an English Muffin and soda coffee tea OR juice.... Needless to say we will never go back there Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
The hotel is pretty nice for the price. Only had a couple of issues: #1 When we first got in the room, I noticed one of the pilllow cases had makeup on it (they have me a fresh one). #2 rye knob in the fridge was broken, so to turn ir on for it to get cool I had th turn the metal kart which hurt. It's not the Waldorf but its not terrible either. The […] room was spacious and clean. I would stay again. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
When i used the restroom in the lobby i was scared of what the room was going to be like. Then we got the roon and it was ok. We went out and came back for bed and i slept better than i do at home. Will stay here again!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Location fit the bill perfectly, however the smell of "old mildew" & an extremely loud a/c were hard to over look.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

Hotel was good ,Continental breakfast was a joke gave you a card to IHOP which was connected to hotel for Oatmeal, or toast, or Biscuit and one Drink. Only allowed 2 per room and we had 3 per room .Genuine Expedia guest review
"Good for a short stay"
I think it should be fenced because all around the hotel we have boards which says "Park at your own risk and hotel management is not responsible for the loss of goods". This is not a good way to welcome guests as we pay $$$ for staying and security too. So if its not secured enough then why would the guests come to stay there. Please make it more secured. […] Good thing about the hotel it has IHOP restaurant attached to it so there is nor problem of food anytime. Loved the food there :) Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Did the job"
The rooms were very spacious and it did the job considering we didn't stay in the room too much. The room wasn't very clean and our door to the patio was broken and very hard to open. There were cigarette burns in our curtains and stains in the carpet.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"not worth the money you're paying"
Hotel looks fine, inside and out. But if you stay there during busy days, you'll find that staff is unable to keep up with cleaning it. Driveway smelled urine for days after weekend "guests". And the biggest disappointment was housekeeping issues: one day garbage can wasn't emptied, and next day- the room wasn't cleaned at all, despite our message to […] the housekeeper that we're leaving in 5 minutes (she was cleaning next room). The issue that evening wasn't resolved, and we were told to call third party in a morning to ask for discount when we mentioned the disappointment with their service and requested the room to be cleaned or at least garbage can emptied finally (after 2 days!). Plus, you'll have to beg for included "continental" breakfast, since it's supposed to be vouchers to adjacent "IHOP", but nobody gives it to you until you ask. And it seems to me, that you have to repeat that "routine"daily to eat there. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Two star hotel"
You get what you paid for. The people were nice. The hotel and the room were clean, the thing is they need to get a new carpet, the one they have looks and smells old. The TV wasn't working right, but I could watch what was on it. The location couldn't be better if you are going to the USCIS office, you only have to walk two blocks to get there. The […] Ihop is a plus, I had dinner there and the complementary breakfast from the hotel. They have free parking which is a plus in New Orleans. I was there only for one night and it worked for me, for a vacation I wouldn't stay there. In my opinion is a two star hotel. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"Easy access to airport and New Orleans"
I happened to be visiting New Orleans the week of a national chemistry convention and the women's final four. In other words, hotel rooms were at a premium and very pricey. So I happened on the Days Hotel by default, preferring to spend money on a car but saving a fortune on the hotel. Overall that aspect worked. It is really handy for New Orleans (six […] miles on highway) and parking downtown is both possible and inexpensive to my pleasant surprise. Of course, if you want the real NO ambiance splurge the $300 per night plus, but I prefer not to, and I am sure many are like-minded. One gets a room at a place like this without great expectations and, despite my modest scoring, overall it was decent and I have had far worse in that price range. It is far enough off the highway that sound does not disturb. The room was quite spacious with enough amenities to satisfy the more modest guest. Everything looked rather worn however; my plumbing was not of the best in terms of drainage and the lavatory had a flushing mechanism from the 19th century. In various parts there was that mildewy smell. There are smoking rooms too which leaves pervasive ashtray aromas in certain parts. Some may like the IHOP attached. A free breakfast is offered but it is a one-size fits all. Frankly when in a hurry to get somewhere I would be happier to grab a muffin and go. Others will enjoy gorging themselves on pancakes, sausages and so on. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"Good place for money."
This was not really were I needed to stay. The hotel was not in a very good location, but it was easy to find. There was only one person working the front desk and it was hard to get through to them when I was trying to call in to make a change. Once I talked with them they were very friendly though. I probably won't stay there again.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"It was ok!!"
The good: It was clean and quiet. The let down: No bar (which is advertised on their site through Hotels.com) and the mattress was extremely worn, hangers rusty, and there was a musty smell that lingered.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Comfortable bed at basic price"
Not a very attractive hotel, but it served my purpose, which was an overnight stay while passing through on I-10. Room was spacious and bed very comfortable. Some wear and tear noted. No unusual odors. IHOP attached. I was looking for something less expensive, that wasn't a dive - so it met that criteria. Why do so many hotels go for those short, plump […] pillows these days? I can't sleep well with them. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

The hotel was okay for overnight but would not suggest it for longer stay. The ceiling was falling down in the lobby & their were buckets to catch the rain water. The room smelled stale & the bathroom sink was clogged. The location is good.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Clean, decent hotel."
Clean, decent hotel. My only issue with it was that the AC was too loud to leave on while sleeping.Genuine Expedia guest review
Only issue was that the woman at the front desk could not seem to find my reservation, although I had a copy of the confirmation in hand! Still had to wait 45 minutes before receiving my room! I was not happy about that after just driving 7 hours to get there!! Other than that, the experience was decent. Rooms were clean and comfortable.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Good for the price but . . ."
We chose this hotel because it was a cheap place to stay for 4 women in town for the Color Run. It was adequate for our needs, but it could use some work. It's an older hotel that is a bit run down and could stand some remodeling. Also, security has some serious flaws. We were near an outside door that was supposed to be locked but accessible with your […] keycard during the day. After a certain time at night, you were supposed to have to go around and enter the hotel through the lobby. In reality, this door was keycard accessible at night, but during the day it was open and slightly ajar so that anyone could have just walked in off the street. The neighborhood wasn't bad, but it's still a concern. Also, there was a car with a busted out rear window parked all weekend just off the hotel parking lot near that door. All in all not a bad hotel, even though the water pressure in our shower was nearly non-existent. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"I like it but I dislike the girl receptionist"

"Our room had a strong food odor"
The hotel itself was ok. The first floor was fine. The elevator was in an inconvenient spot, but that wasn't a big deal. The housekeeping staff sucks, they don't speak english and don't seem to understand it neither.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
The location was great for us. Close to a freeway and our daughter. The nieghborhood seemed safe. The hotel was in poor condition. Ceiling in lobby was coming down, and the lobby smelled terrible. Our room wasn't much better, the wallpaper was peeling and the sheetrock under it seemed to be falling apart. The contenintal breakfast is at that attached […] I Hop. The hotel room was clean and comfortable. The maids do a great job. Aside from access to a computer, there were no hotel amenities. "Decent budget accommodation"
I've visited New Orleans many times. It has its own concept of time and way of doing things. A chain hotel in New Orleans is almost never going to be as shiny and efficient as you'd find in another US city. The humidity and the culture just won't allow it. That said, I had no problems with this hotel. The location was convenient -- though if you're […] traveling without a GPS, you might have trouble figuring out how to get to the place at first. My room was clean, and everything worked. I was pleasantly surprised that there was a fridge and microwave in the room. There was a problem with my reservation, but the front desk resolved it with with a minimum of drama. So I'd say this place is decent budget accommodation. Just go into it with proper "New Orleans" expectations. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"Close to French Quarter - Unfriendly Staff"
Location is advantageous if you are visiting he French Quarter. Front staff unprofessional. Tried to check-in at 12:30 and was told no early check-in. A family who wanted to book 2 adjoining rooms with NO previous reservation were given rooms at 1:30. We immediately went to desk and ask that we be allowed to check-in our room as we had reservations […] and had been waiting in the lobby WITHIN site distance of front desk staff. Also, even though room was marked Non-Smoking there were cigarette burns on tub. IHOP connected to hotel for meal convenience and hotel is in busy, but a safe area. "Room is nice but service can be better"
I stayed at this hotel for two nights during the weekend. Although it is located right next to I-10, the location is kind of confusing. Hotel room was good, and the bed is comfy. Yet, I never saw any clerk during my stay, but saw always customer screaming hey, hello, excuse me...to the back side of the front desk!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Don't Expect Too Much"
It is not a bad place, but had several issues with the smell of smoke throughout the building, a single elevator which on occassion did not work, no luggage carts to haul stuff to room (the ones that they had always disappeared), and "continental" breakfast was very minimal. We were given a voucher to use at IHOP which entitled us to toast, english […] muffin or oatmeal and choice of juice, coffee or soda so continental means continental. It was not a bad place, but it needs a lot of work. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
