The bed sank in the middle, and the only compensation was "We will make note of that" which is code for "we don't care, and the next sucker we get will have to suffer, too." Requested a different room, but it was denied. It was only a night, but will not be returning to this hotel.

I paid close to $200 for a room at this hotel just to see Mardi Gras the night before I left to go back home. While I was checking in, there were 3 people checking in along side me for rooms less then $100 a night because they were walk ins and didn't fill all the hotel rooms to capacity, needless to say when I asked they would not give me the same […] rate! This hotel is far from Bourbon, costing me at least $30-$40 every trip back and forth in a cab, which I made around 5 trips which included the airport. I only stayed one night, the girls at the desk didn't seem to happy or inviting, when we asked if they could call us a cab they gave us a piece of paper with cab services around the area to take us to Bourbon Street, we waited two hours and still nothing, half the numbers were out of order. They still didn't help with trying to get a hold of anyone. Eventually we made it down there, no help from them. The rooms are bland, there is nothing wonderful about them, the bed is totally uncomfortable and in the 4 hours I was able to sleep before catching my flight, my back hurt from it! The plus is they have a full kitchen in the room, full size fridge, stove, sink, all the necessities, the bathrooms were also pretty clean. Otherwise the decor is old and outdated, and I didn't feel entirely safe, the doors of the room are really iffy and can see the outside right through the floor and sides of the door, anyone could of gotten in with a simple kick to it. There was a hole in my bed sheets and the cleaning lady parks her cart right in the middle of the walkway and doesnt move because shes always on the phone. I went online & found this hotel to be within a mile of where we had an appointment the evening of our check in. Room was reserved online a week in advance. Once we got to our room, we were ready to relax after the long day on the road. First thing noticed was a left behind, dirty wash cloth just inside our door. Long story short, who ever cleaned our room had forgotten to place towels, wash cloths, soap, shampoo. Had to go down 3 floors to get them. I attempted to make coffee with the one package of coffee and the coffee poured out from all around the coffee pot. So back down to get a working coffee pot. And more coffee w creamer. Also we had asked for a smoking room, had to go back down again to get an ashtray. The tv would switch from color to black & white. Bedside lamp did not work. I am not a complainer under most circumstances but after a long day on the road and with the amount we paid, I at least expected to come into our room and get comfortable, not go up and down to the front desk to get things that should have already been in place. Well, the phone did not work, so we could not call the front desk, we had to go to them every time we needed something. We were booked for 4 nights, but left after 3 because of the hotel. We told the front desk it did not work and they laughed and said "we know, sometimes you have to play with it". They never tried to repair it. The WiFi did not work […] half the time. I called support (from my cell) but it did not help. The room was not clean. The a/c did not get cold. We slept on top of the blanket because of the warmth. Terrible customer service. Arrived during a shift change and they kept me waiting for over 15 minutes! Once up in my room I noticed that the room had no bars of soap. Called the front desk and they said I had to go downstairs to pick them up myself! The vending machine on the third floor was full of items but did not work! It politely asked you to select another item but any item you picked gave the same message. I was not expecting 5 star hotel service but even for a frugal traveler like me this hotel was totally not worth it especially for the price which was above frugal-traveler level. I would NOT recommend this hotel to anyone. Oh before I forget - they give you a sheet of paper with an internet access code yet the internet connected for me without the code at all times. The hotel is in need of a makeover. Dingy. Dirty. I'm not sure why it is called a "Suite", except for the fact there is a full-size refrigerator, twin burner, and sink/cabinets in the room. Other than that, it is a standard-sized two double-bed room.

I knew I had made a mistake when I noticed the latch missing on the bathroom door. The shower head was broken and make sure you let the front desk know that you would like clean towels every day or you are on your own.

We had to change rooms our first room was "overbooked" with roaches. We were in our room less than 2 mins and we chased and killed 8 roaches and 2 got away. I immediately went downstairs and requested a new room. The only room left had a broken toilet that the "maintenance" guy was fixing. I would have rather used the restroom in a bag and discard it […] than to use the toilet. The shower, wow. I had to take a cold shower the first night and I called the front desk and her response was " Oh yeah it does that sometimes, you have to turn the sink on in the kitchen and let the shower run for 15-20 mins and then it should get hot." Excuse ME!! Well after about 45 mins at best it became lukewarm. I suffered through this cold shower constantly hollering as I immersed a new body part in the cold water. The water in the kitchen was HOT so my resolve was to take a bird bath. Well the next night we tried the same trick and realized the settings were backwards and the lever needed to be placed on the cold side to get hot after another 35 mins of running the shower and faucet simultaneously. The second room for the most part was clean but I would dare to use the fridge it seemed as if it was picked up from an alley on trash day. It had definitely seen better days. This was the only hotel I could find on short notice after having left another hotel that was in an unsavory location due to some Conference invading the city. I definitely would not stay here again. it is just a place to sleep, however, there were obvious repairs made here and there that made the whole place look as if it were melting in the humidity. a large line of caulk was peeling from the ceiling in the shower and the ceiling looked like it was dripping. i did not feel clean at any point during my stay.

Literally, there were bugs. Not just a mosquito or two, gnats or even crickets. There were roaches! And not just one or two, which in my book are too many! Unacceptable especially considering that you have to pay to stay. The basement of the hotel maintenance room maybe, but not in the suites. Then there were the service issues. You could only get […] more towels if you traded in your soiled ones. Forget about extras. You had to go to the counter for whatever you needed as they would not come to the room. There didn't seem to be an abundance of employees either as if they operated on a skeleton crew around the clock. The internet service was free, but I much rather have paid if it would have made it work any better..., as they say, you get what you pay for. The wi-fi routinely timed out or went offline at the most inopertune time and no place seemed to be the best place for a good signal. The sheets did not fit properly on the bed, so every night you woke up cocooned amidst the sheets. If you sleep perfectly still, like a corpse, then it would not be a problem. The flat and worn out pillows definitely made it easy to lay flat on your back as if you were one. Even when we requested a room cleaning and restock a day in advance, we did not get it. So we had to empty our own trash and swap out our own towels..., again. It was at that moment that I understood how easily they could attract the critters. I won't talk about the various stains and smells, or the mold in the corners. The good? Well, the hotel has elevators. They have a full size fridge and a stove and the cabinets have dishes..., but I'd hesitate to use any of it until you verify with your own eyes and nose that it has been cleaned and sanitized, ie, the roaches. I would not ever stay there again on my own dollar, and if someone else was forking over the cash I wouldn't be a good friend to let them do so. Unless you are in a pinch, I would avoid staying at this location. Read more

I found 2 baby roaches in the bathroom in the middle of the night... the sheets were stained and the bedspread had holes in it. Overall it was a bed to sleep in but if you have $10 more dollars I'd use it to get something a little better.

Sometimes a place is inexpensive for a reason. This is one of those places. Neighborhood was on the iffy side. We were on the 3rd floor, but never found the elevator. I'm sure they have one, and I just gave up too soon. Room was OK. Next stay in New Orleans will be someplace else, even if it cost a little more.
