The staff was all very nice. However our room had not been vacuumed. There were French fries on the floor in front of the microwave. The inside of the microwave was nasty with burnt on food. "Difficult to locate: very musty smelly room"
We got a newly refurbished room...it stunk...when I complained the clerk said that everyone complains and that the "new" cleaning spray doesn't smell good for very long. "Why did I come back?"
I stayed at this hotel for my first two days in Oklahoma. I loved it; my room was located on the first floor, I had plenty of coffee (I am a coffee nut), and the room was clean and roomy. I then went to the northern area of Oklahoma before returning back to Oklahoma City for my departure back home. I decided to stay in Norman instead of Oklhoma City. […] What a mistake; my room was half the size as the room I received when I stayed here the first time. I made coffee the first day I was here, thus, using up the regular coffee container. That container was not replaced the next day, nor was the coffee pot cleaned out from ther previous days coffee. My room key was also an issue. Sure, it opened my room, but it didn't open the pool room; the workout room; or the business room doors. This made me a little upset to say the least. One last thing. On the first day I was in my room, a young woman opens my door without even a quite knock. She comes barging in without warning, and lucky for her, I wasn't in my birthday suit ready to take a shower. I thought a knock at least would have been appropriate, you know, to see if anyone is in the room. My first stay here was fantastic, no glitiches; but my second stay here was a nightmare. "Pool was not acceptable"
Stayed there to let granddaughter swim. She and I both ended up with a sick headache. The pool area was so strong with chlorine and so hot it was unbearable. We were not only ones complaining. You need to address this issue.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"traveling with pets"

"Mixed Review"
The hotel itself was clean, quiet, and comfortable. The complimentary breakfast was tasty. The front desk was a disastor. I arrived at 7:30 PM, and was told that they would have to check to see if my room had been cleaned. I was exhausted from a long, tedious drive, and had to stand at the front desk for 15 minutes or so before being given a key. The […] next night, I got back to the hotel in early evening, tried to get into my room and found that key wouldn't work. I went to the front desk told them my problem, and was told they had rented my room to a nice lady who was also standing at the front desk. She found all of my stuff in the room when she entered it, so didn't unpack. Ultimately, I kept the room and they found her another room, but it again took several minutes to sort out. "Experience at the Country Inn & Suites"
At first I thought it was a quaint and lovely hotel. My son was participating in a Model UN Conference at Oklahoma University. After the first day we did not receive any housekeeping to the room. We came back to our room late at night only to find beds not made and dirty/wet towels still on the floor. We called housekeeping and they said they did not […] know what happened. They brought up fresh towels to get us through the morning. Also, the temperature in the room was very hard to regulate. It was very hot in the room. When we turned down the temperature nothing happened. We called the front desk and they told us that sometimes you have to turn it down very low for it to kick on. We turned it all the way down to 60 for it to kick on but it didn't stay on very long before it stopped and the room never did cool off. This was my first time staying at a Country Inn and Suites, I normally stay at the Marriott or Crown Plaza. I expected alittle more from this hotel. It felt like a Motel 6 with all the problems we were having. On a positive note, the free breakfast was nice to have in the mornings. The hotel look clean and as I said "quaint". The room was clean but a little tight on space. Beds were comfortable. Breakfast was pretty good and the people were friendly. This hotel is a good value for the price.
