We stayed here to attend the Tulip Time Festival in Holland, so we were really just here to sleep for the night, but the room was clean and spacious. We had a fireplace (which we didn't use) and a kitchen, which allowed us to grab a frozen pizza from Meijer for under $10, heat it in the oven and have a cheap meal in the room. The only complaint I would […] have is that the room we were in connected to another room (via a locked door) and we could hear everything they were doing over there. Large rooms, fully equipped for long stays. Although on the outskirts of the city center, it was very close to the highway. Limited services due to the holiday weekend, but it was not much of an issue.

Suites are very clean and comfortable. Staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast was ok, typical continental. Location was ideal, in the middle of everything, but with the fencing, you felt secluded. I would highly recommend this hotel.

Older, former Residence Inn. At little dated, but very clean and excellent staff. We did the stay, park and fly program and it worked great. We called when boarding our flight to let them know when we would land, and they were there ready and waiting!

Had a fireplace which was one of the main reasons we choose this place. Our 24th wedding anniversity Go to front desk for fire logs, they did not have any. Told us a place we could purchase some, which we did,about 5 miles away. Then the fireplace vent would not open call the front desk they tried and could nt get it after talking to the Maintenance […] man on the phone. They said they just purchased the Hotel and were still having lots of problems with the property. they assured me the Head Maintenance man would come in and get it working it was 8:30pm we stayed up tell11:30pm he never showed up. Nice suite; everything was clean and in good repair. Good choices at breakfast. I eat low carb and the eggs and sausage kept me happy while the oatmeal and biscuits w/sausage gravy made my partner happy. We were very pleased with our stay here. The room was very spacious and clean for the low rate. All the staff was very friendly and helpful. Only thing that was a little disappointing was that we had a fireplace in our room, but they didn't have a supply of firewood in stock in order for us to use it. Otherwise it was an awesome stay!

Too much to rave about. Great room, great appointments in the kitchen, great locale by the mall, great free breakfast, and the best part was the free evening social that also included food. My wife and I only stayed one night but found the hotel very comfortable. Our room had a full kitchen (which we did not know about) including a full sized fridge, stove, and a dishwasher so it felt more like a small apartment than a hotel room. Cookware and dinnerware were also already present in the room. Overall this was a great place to stay.

Very nice set up with all the accommodations that came with it. Really appreciate the warm fireplace in the evening. A way to set off a romantic evening. Looking forward to spend a long weekend. Just a one night stay is not enough to enjoy it all and do more shopping at near by shops & malls.

I had a wondering stay at the Gatehouse Suites in Grand Rapids. The host was extremely freindly and helpful. She was very informative of everything in the area. Service: outstanding--it took only 3 minutes to check in. After inquiring about the fireplace log "available for purchase" from the front desk, we received one for free! They had the best free breakfast buffet I've ever had--I will remember the hash browns fondly... :) Room: AWESOME!--The room was very charming--had a kitchen with fridge, dishwasher, […] utensils, disposal, glassware, plates/bowls, coffee pot, microwave, cloth napkins. The best thing in the room though (besides my wife, of course), was the fireplace. We watched cable TV on the couch in front of a cozy fire. Awesome. Location: Another cool thing about the location was...the location. We walked to dinner @ Old Chicago Pizza, but, if the weather had been nicer, we could have easily walked to Red Robin, Bar Louie, or On the Border--which are located right next to the mall... Niche--one cool thing they had (that we couldn't take advantage of, unfortunately), was the "social club." Apparently, on Monday through Thursday (I think), they have different area restaurants come in the evening and offer free appetizers. A couple of the restaurants were places I haven't been, and would have liked to try their food. An excellent idea. About the only flaw I could find was that the spray-on "popcorn" ceiling had about a 1 inch crack in it--the rest of the room was spectacular. The bed was comfortable, sheets were clean, and the heat/air condition was centrally located and vented--no single vent unit that makes your room too hot on one side, and too cold on the other. I plan to return here again, because I got all this for way cheap. I might even bring the kids next time--but probably not... It was one of the best Valentine's Days ever. Read more

The motel is somewhat difficult to get in and out of if you are not immediately familiar with the area, but once you learn the "tricks" it is pretty easy.
