All hotels were booked and I found a room here. Very friendly staff, but they are in need of a lot of work inside and out. Older and weathered.

The first night we checked in late but was very suprised when we walked in to our room. It was very nice to get to have a fire place and a kitchen and not have to go broke doing it. Nice size room and location wasn't bad. Second day we found a dirty soup spoon in are clean dishes and it was very clear that it was used for drugs. We also found out the […] hard way that this hotels are known to be a spot for parties. The people above us were so so noisy. They even came and pounded on are door after we called the front desk on them. All night long they were draging chairs across the floor and crashing things. Could not sleep. Read more

It was very nice.. It was surprised it even had a dishwasher in the room. I would stay there again for sure.. Was doing a show downtown Grand Rapids. Only took 10 minutes to get there. Better than paying over $200 a night for just a room... You wont be disappointed

The meetings we were attending were downtown but the hotels downtown are expensive.The TWO BEDROOM suite was ideal for two guys traveling on business and was very reasonable.

1. The Walsh were knee deep with ice and snow. 2. Hair in the bathroom sink. 3. The bathroom floor was grimy and dirty along all molding. 4. Leftover coffee was in the kitchen pot. In summary thos reflected alack of attention to cleanliness.

Not at all as depicted. Streets and sidewalks in bad condition, and covered in snow and ice (even though it had not snowed in 36 hours). Mattress must be 20 years old, and pillows terrible. Great location. Right near gas, starbucks, stores and civilization! Prices were fantastic for a room and they are basically studio apartments with a kitchen. They have a free buffet breakfast which was nice and the staff was courteous. They even had fire logs to buy for $5.00 if you wanted to use the fireplaces in some of the rooms. Rooms were older […] and couches looked old. Other than that, there is a mini kitchen, plates and glasses for you to use (I would highly recommend washing them thoroughly or bringing your own). I had chosen this hotel because of a great experience with Wyndam before. This particular hotel was a smudge on Wyndam's name, however. The first room (that's right) was like walking into a smoke shop. The staff was great about switching me immediately. My second room wasn't much better in terms of left over smoke smell. The floor was dirty. The couch […] was suspect due to certain stains on it, and the thermostat was broken--a necessity when it's 0 degrees outside. Beds were uncomfortable, too--but who could sleep well after all the other stuff? Perhaps the greatest letdown was coming in one day and finding toilet paper floating in he toilet from the housekeeping staff earlier that day. Thoroughly disgusting! Wi-Fi was a must and worked well. And the price was great for the budget traveller such as myself. But I would not recommend this hotel for anyone and woul encourage you to spend a few more dollars for a better one in town. Read more

Hotel staff was very accomodating. There was a rumpled up pillow case on the couch when we first entered our room. There was a bird in my room which I discovered when I closed the curtains. No idea how it got there but it scared the corn out of me when it flew past my face and onto my pillow. I remove it myself and decided not to request a room change. Things happen but this seemed kind of odd and worth putting out there on a review.

It took 15 minutes to get someone to answer the door to get into the lobby to check in! They supply a phone in lobby which rings front desk; it must have rang 120 times....serious issues here when a customer can't get into lobby. First impression was disappointment. Exterior of property is in dire need of repair. Apparently going through change in ownership and or management. However, room was in nice condition and comfortable. If you kept curtains closed, you can imagine you were in a different hotel. Staff friendly.

Excellent suites! Well equipped and very comfortable. Very good value for money. However, there is a lot of work to be done on the outside to bring the complex up to date. I was at this hotel for business but found it very convenient and easy to find from the airport. There was shopping and places to eat very close, some within walking distance. They do offer an evening social which I hoped would had more options for food and drink. The breakfast had minimal to offer but was sufficient for myself. Impressive! Most 'suites' are just crowded rooms. This is a true suite and suitable for extended stay. Computer and kitchen amenities, privacy and a great price.

Nice room with full kitchen--full stove, fridge, etc, which I didn't use for one night. Bathroom is a little worn out, but linens were clean. This hotel does not say they are outside entrances. I was traveling alone and did not feel safe or comfortable entering and leaving my room from the outside stairs on the unit. There were people hanging around outside my unit and around the parking lot. The deadbolt on my door was missing, it had been broken off. This was not good! I arrived after 10pm, […] so once I was in the room and noticed the dead bolt missing, I was not about to venture back out to let them know about it. I had to be at my meeting the next morning at 8am. I found out that on Saturdays breakfast doesn't start until 8. So at 7:35 when I went to the cafe, the lady was not very friendly about informing me that breakfast was not available until 8. The rooms are decent, but I would much rather pay a little extra for safety and security, and a good breakfast at the Hampton. Read more

It is really set up for an extended stay. It was a little further from the airport than I expected, but the hotel took care of the ground transportation, even paying for a taxi when I arrived at the airport near midnight and their shuttle was not running. This hotel appears to be a recently sold Marriott property.Though a little rough on the outside, the room interior was comparable to a a major name suite that would have been much more expensive. At first the outside was not appealing, but once inside it was great. Disappointed that there was no Bell personell to help with bags upstairs (outside stairs). Also no elevator. Has free breakfast. We had 2 bedroom suite that was very roomy. Would stay again.

The staff was extremely helpful and found a way to get me a room in a sold out hotel to stay an extra day when I needed to extend my stay another day. I was in town for a conference, and was hoping to save some money; but I still wanted a great room. Well, I got everything I hoped for - and much more. My suite was far less costly than my friend's downtown hotel, plus it sported a full kitchen, a living room with a fireplace, and a separate bathing/changing area. The drive to the convention center was only about 13 minutes. Slightly older buildings - but VERY well cared for and with recent paint and carpet.
