Nice place, friendly service but the lack of a/c made the summer evening miserable.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"A Great Place to Stay"
4th of July weekend: When we drove up and we where like - "WOW!" The outside looked great! The inside looked great! Very good location. Quality staff and customer service. Nice Coffee shop with hard working employee. Pool, BBQ area, Games Room, Fitness room, etc. They were able to get us the top floor. They got us in our room early. Great views. Beautiful […] surrounding area. We will stay here again. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Gorgeous views,excellent location"
We did a last minute booking for three nights in summer ,even though we wanted to book a vacation rental home. I must say we made the right decision. Juniper springs is an excellent place to stay in Mammoth. We booked a one bedroom condo. The views were just amazing from the balcony. The kitchen had everything you need to cook anything. From toaster, blender, coffee […] maker etc. The bedroom bed was comfortable ,but the sofa bed was not very comfortable. The house-keeping comes everyday in the morning. The pool and Jacuzzi were nice. Tried the jacuzzi and it was nice. The kids had a blast in pool. My only problem was the shower head. It was the old kind ,not the adjustable one and it sprayed water too far in the bathroom. But overall the place and the location is amazing. Would definitely go there again. Kid-friendly. The room had DVD player and cable TV. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great location in Mammoth"
Good -Town home is the way to go! Your view of Mammoth Valley is awesome. Close to several lakes with only 10min drive. Bad- $20 resort Fee, I don’t know what that is for? They have housekeeping but not worth the $20 a night.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Stay somewhere else, especially in the Summer!"
The room was spacious but a little rundown. Toilet was dirty, shower had hair in it, and the coffee pot had not been cleaned. There was no place to eat, ad be aware of the $20 resort fee they gloss over when you check in. It was 97 degrees and this hotel has no Air Conditioning, only a small oscillating fan in the closet. We had to sleep with the balcony […] door open to get any rest it was so hot. When I ran into another guest in the elevator the first thing he asked was if I had found another hotel yet cause he was going elsewhere, if we had stayed more than 1 night we would have done the same! "Great Location BUT ....."
Everything was fantastic but the only complaint I have which is a small one is that my room had no A/C and it was a very warm day in Mammoth Lakes. It made it very uncomfortable to sleep that night.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great place to stay..."
Was upgraded to a two bedroom suite from a one bedroom suite. Mammoth Lakes is a great area for hiking, biking, and all outdoors stuff. Also the town is very inviting to spend time at. Only bad side is the hallway doors slam when closed. Other than that a great experience.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great Weekend Getaway"
What a great resort! We had a corner unit with fantastic views of the mountains. The unit was clean and the resort is very well maintained. Will definitely recommend to family and friends.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Clean nice hotel. Good friendly service.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Stayed one night. I reserved and payed through Hotel.com. There were additional cost that I didn`t know. In addition to room charge, you have to pay resort fee, $20.00 + Tax , which sums $22.60.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
When traveling with family, it's great to have a full kitchen like this place does. Also, the heated pool and hot tubs were a hit with the kids. Only drawback: the appliances were the cheapest possible, and so very noisy. If you're sleeping on the couch (and not in one of the bedrooms with a door) expect to be woken up the refrigerator.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Nice facilities, modern room"
Upscale room, well decorated and furnished. Useful gym, very heated (80F) pool and three jacuzzis in the main lodge. Although it is easy to get the WiFi signal, it is so slow that it is useless. The front desk has a few dozen DVDs to lend out, but is quite limited and old, so it is useless too. The buildings are kind of isolated from the neighborhood […] by wide streets. Underground parking in main lodge a plus. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
It is a great place to take the entire family. The front desk was extremly helpful in giving directions to different locations to visit.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Summer vacation in Mammoth"
Great location, friendly helpful staff, nice BBQ by pool. Housekeeping service was excellent; prompt timing of room clean up, and forgiving of our messy personal clutter. Dis-likes: room temperature was very warm (no air conditioning, as there are only a few warm weeks in the year. It was 80degF daytime highs outside.) However, they provided a fan which […] helped circulate fresh air thru open windows and the balcony door. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"No Service, Not responsive"
Be carefull they do not garanty a room type. If you get a room on top of the entrance you will have all the busses, cars during the day and in the morning. The hotel has no A/C so you have to open the window to get some air. Therefore the busses are a big issue.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great place to unwind"
clean, great location and beautiful setting...couldn't ask for more.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"The Room was Cooking!!"
Two things were not good. The place is so insulated for winter that our room was cooking even with the bedroom and living room windows/door wide open 24 hrs. The parking structure is like a suana it holds the heat so much. We also saw many broken furniture items in our room, like 3 of the 4 chairs and also the oven door handle. We also did not like […] getting the $20/ a day charges plus tax added to our bill. Why not just charge it up front or at lease disclose these fees when originally doing the reservation? "Nice to have a kitchen"
Stayed 2 nights over July 4th weekend. Made full use of the nicely equipped kitchen to cook dinners. Also spent late afternoons at the pool and hot tubs. We loved how warm the pool was. It could get a little crowded, but I can't blame people for being in it when it is that warm. The place is not exactly new, so was showing some wear, but that didn't […] bother us. There are some comments on the lack of air circulation and A/C in the rooms. We had to open all the windows to get it to cool off, but that did work and it was fine overnight. We noticed a small fan in the closet afterward, which would have also helped if we had used it. Ceiling fans would be a nice addition. Not really walking distance to town, but we had a car, so that didn't matter. The pull-out sofa bed was pretty thin. Not sure how comfortable adults would be on it, but our kids didn't complain. The daily resort fee is a little weird, but we knew about it, so it wasn't a surprise. It would be better if it was built into the room rate, but then it might also be taxed. Considering that it was about the same price as other hotels in the area, we would definitely stay again, given the usefullness of the kitchen and how much the kids liked the pool. "Lovely hotel - everything we needed"
We stayed in June with 3 kids ages 7-12 and had a great time. The free shuttle service to the nearby shopping/dining village was great. Room had everything we needed and the laundry facilities were great too. Very satisfied. Pool deck was being renovated but kids still enjoyed pool and hot tubs.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Great lodge. The suite was perfect for an extended ski or fishing trip.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
We were there in the off season. Between winter and summer. So some services were not available, like the cafe. But they had fresh coffee in the loby every morning. Be aware that if you are going to Yosemite it is a 2.5 hour drive to the valley. We would stay there again if we are in the area. Beware of the $20/day plus tax resort feeGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Excellent Home like Stay away...from Home"
It was a different Home stay experience within a Hotel setup. Very conveniently placed...The hotel gives a very beautiful scenic view of all surrounding mountains...not a very happening place...but definitely a fantastic vacation place with absolutely no noise around...We liked all the facilities within the room and only issue we had was with the internet […] connection...Though all facilities were very good....the room rate was a little over priced...especially with no complimentary breakfast provided...if they can include complimentary breakfast and reduce the price a bit, i think it will be the best of a choice to stay on your vacation. Excellent customer service, and they are very courteous.....Over all - we liked the Hotel and we will again choose to stay here.... Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
Great central location to see Yosimite, Bristol Cone Pine Forest...and a scenic drive from Reno. The kitchen/living room was adequate but the bedroom, kind of small. Like most condos, we did not have to shop for basics - everything was provided, even daily cleaning. Though I read other reviews about the interior temperature, I didn't think it would […] be a problem in late September. But it was - very uncomfortable because of no cross venilation and no air conditioning - very stuffy. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great for families"
We had a 2-bedroom suite for the five of us. The bedrooms were nice. The sofa bed was not comfortable. There was no air conditioning, which was OK for us since it was cool outside and we could open the windows. But I imagine it could get hot in the summer. We requested a handicapped-accessible room, and when we were told that none were available when […] we checked in -- it definitely put a damper on things. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Juniper Springs "Resort""
This was not a Resort. It was overpriced, very dated, tiny swimming pool, no extras - have stayed in much better places for less money. No aircon - room was hot even in late September. We would not recommend it. We were told of a $20 'resort' fee - this should have been on your site - should not have been a surprise when we got to the place.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

Cant wait to stay there again.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
First note, I was staying here during the summer and imagine reviews would be different for a typical stay in the winter. That said, the resort is a nice place, amazing views of the mountains. The full condo layout makes you feel a little more at home on your visit. There were a couple of negatives, the lower level parking is kind of a mess to deal […] with and there is apparently no air conditioning, only central heat, so you're out of luck in the summer. very clean, well equipped condominium... the only complaint we had was that the room was STUFFY... there was NO cross-ventilation and the room got very warm and stuffy after the sun set. otherwise, loved the location, setting, quiet, pool, quality, etc. Will recommend to friends for certain!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Juniper Springs Resort"
We were very satisfied with everything except the stifling heat in our room which caused us to spend our time away from it until evening. There is no cross-ventilation, and the room was hotter inside than the outside air most of our stay. We were charged an added recreation fee even though we couldn't use the amenities due to the heat. We would recommend […] it as a place to stay except in the hotter Summer months. We will look elsewhere next Summer if we go. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
Response by Juniper Springs Resort Thank you for taking your time to comment on your recent stay. I am pleased that you enjoyed your time with us. I apologize that you were disturbed by the temperature of your room. We are currently seeking solutions to this issue. Additionally, I wanted to address your comment about our resort fee. Our $20 resort fee covers all amenities including: internet, fax, phone, parking, cable, shuttle transportation, game room access, DVD rentals, pool, spa and fitness room access as detailed on our reservation confirmation and by our staff at check-in. These amenities are still available regardless of weather. If anything, the pool may have provided an excellent opportunity for you and your family to cool down after a hot summer day. Have a beautiful fall, and come back this winter to enjoy everything Juniper Springs has to offer!

We are a family of 4 and we thought the resort was great. The sofa bed was very old and very uncomfortable for my 2 sons.. We had to bring an air mattress in and have the boys sleep on the floor. One negative: they added a $20 per night resort fee (+ tax on that too!) that was not included in the original booking price. You're already there so you pay. There is no air conditioning at this hotel and we stayed here in August when the hallways were stiffling hot and the unit took an hour to cool down after we moved in and opened the windows. This hotel also charges a extra $20 fee PER DAY in addition to what you pay on hotels.com. First we were given a unit that overlooked the beginning of the chair […] lift station right outside our balcony and we asked to be moved to another unit that was a decent view. Two bedroom condo was the smallest condo I've ever stayed in. The first one they sent us to the toliet in the bathroom didn't work. Couldn't lay a suitcase out in either of the bedrooms. Response by Juniper Springs Resort Thank you for taking the time to comment on your stay with us. We are continuously working on upgrading our accommodations. I am glad we were able to find a more suitable room for you and your family. During the winter time we have ski lockers available for storage, if you felt that the 2 bedroom was too small for your family, might I suggest that you book a larger condominium next time you stay with us? In the future, please contact the front desk immediately with any issues so we can address any concerns that you may encounter immediately.

"Will Come Back!"
We enjoyed staying here at Juniper Springs. Though we only stayed one night, we were very impressed. We had a studio room. It was perfect for my family of four. My husband and kids (ages 6 & 4) enjoyed their game room. The bed was super cozy. The only complaint I have was the electric stove. Two of the four burners didn't work. Other than that, we're […] considering staying here in the Winter during the ski season. Right outside the resort are the chair lifts which is a plus. Which means we don't have to drive anywhere. The chair lifts are a hop skip a way. The resort is a couple minutes drive away from the local grocery and restaurants but in a nice quiet area. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Juniper Springs Resort"
We loved this Resort!!! We picked a smaller room but it still had enough space for us. Having a full kitchen, dinning table, and a porch was nice. The kids slept on the couch in the main room and the adults had their own room but there was TV and DVD player in both rooms so we could stay up later. It was nice to have full window coverings so we could […] make it darker for our kids to sleep longer. There was a storage container in our room but we don't ski so we didn't need it but it would be nice for those who do ski. Also there is a ski lift right next door to this resort so perfect for those who ski to not have to drive anywhere. There was not a cafe open during the week in off season so we went to Schat's for breakfast - fantastic bakery! Also there is an additional $20 resort fee added on that we didn't know about when booking through Hotels.com but we really like it so it was worth the little extra. There is an outdoor pool that looked really nice but it was raining during our stay so we didn't go in it. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"The Juniper Springs Resort Mammoth Lakes,Ca"
The Juniper Springs Resort was exactly as described on the website. It is a beautiful resort that is right next to the Eagle ski lift. The hotel staff is friendly, and the manager will go out of his way to make your stay pleasant. Our two bedroom was way to small for 6. We were crammed into a condo that had to much furniture. We did not know that the […] condos are all indivdividually owned and were decorated as the owners pleased. We had to eat off off a picnic bench that had splinters and that was run down. The condo did not have a kitchen that was stocked with the basics, for example we had to puchase plastics cups to drink out of. We loved the resort and will stay there again next year, but will not stay in that unit again Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
