"No Ice"
The ice make did not work, the hot tub did not work, the room had a odor. Also rules no pet there was a barking dog for 24 hrs. We where told we could use the pool and hot tub at the hotel next door also there ice machine. I went to relax.Not for Stress. "Microtel Inn and Suites - a warning to all"
We booked this hotel because it was not very expensive, and we were only using it to sleep. When we checked in, they gave us our key and when we made it to our room, it was still being cleaned and sheets being changed. So we waited and about 20 minutes later were finally able to settle in. We left to go out for the night, and when we came back in, the […] air conditioner was not working. We put up with the air conditioner for that night because we were dead tired. The next day we told the front desk person about the air conditioner and we were offered a fan...not even a discount off the room or anything, just a fan. Luckly it was our last night because I could not have done it again. I will not be staying in this hotel ever again, and I advise anyone thinking about staying here to beware. "Great stay at a great location"
I found our room to be clean and comfortable. The motel and all of Maggie Valley is very motorcycle friendly. Quick and easy access to the Blue Ridge Parkway within 5 miles or less. Wheels Thru Time motorcycle museum is within a mile. 15 miles from Cherokee casino (if you are into that) and all kinds of shops. Tail of the Dragon is a scenic 60-70 mile […] ride away.
