The description of the room on hotels.com mentions that the room has a separate sitting area. We booked the room so we could have more space. But, it turned out to be really small. There was no sitting area and the hotel staff told us that these rooms do not come with sitting areas.

The hotel and staff were awesome for the price. The only little turn offs were the water stain on the ceiling of the bathroom and the pool wasn't very clean. There was a wad of hair on a pole near the hot tub. Other then that everything else was awesome down to the continental breakfast.

Going into our stay, we set our expectations where they should have been for a 2 Star Hotel. We weren't expecting them to be a 5 Star Hotel. While we were there, we were only one of few guests there. While it was freezing rain outside, we enjoyed a relaxing stay in the hot tub and also went for a swim. The times we went to the pool, we were the only ones there. It was great. Overall, the hotel needs some minor work done to it, but nothing that affected our stay. Our room was well kept and maintained each day. We did have to go next door for our breakfast since there weren't any quests, but that wasn't a big deal for us. Staff was nice and helped us when we needed it. Very pleased with the hotel, staff went out of their way to make sure we had all we needed. Indoor pool was lovely and warm and the hotel was comfortable. Good breakfast choices. Very satisfied with this good value hotel.

Overall, I believe this is an okay place to stay if you're on a tight budget and can tolerate a tight space. We stayed in a double with 2 adults and 2 children, and there was very little room to move around. The rooms were clean, although I was unhappy to find that the hotel does accept pets even though they say they do not online. There was a yappy […] dog in the room next door that became quite annoying. The daytime staff was friendly and seemed to care about keeping the guests comfortable; however, the overnight staff seemed a lot less helpful. Housekeeping missed our room on the first day, so I called the front desk to ask for towels that evening. The lady at the front desk said to "come down and get them." Another minus for us was that they allowed publicly displayed alcohol containers at the pool and on the premises. Thankfully, the drinking crowd only used the pool late at night so we were able to use it peacefully during the daytime. Read more

We just needed a place to sleep after a couple long days on the ski hill and this hotel fit the bill. It was very affordable and the rooms were comfortable. The mini-fridge and sitting areas were a nice touch. Although we went down the road for a big breakfast, the hotel did offer a small, continental breakfast which is always nice.

The problem we had was with housekeeping, On Saturday our room was not cleaned until after 3:00 pm in the afternoon. They cleaned the rooms that were vacated that day before cleaning ours. My husband wanted to lay down that afternoon and could not get back in the room.

This was a nice hotel and a very good value. The lobby and other public areas are fine. Our room had some very minor issues, most notably the fact that the bathroom door did not close properly. Overall, however, it was a good room at a very good price.

We loved this hotel! It deserves a 105 in cleanliness. The cleaning lady took pride in her work and it showed. The beds were comfy and the atmosphere of the room gave you a feeling of home. Great location. Walking distance to just about anything we needed - gas, food, shopping. Clean. Family of four stayed with no problem. Breakfast was good and plenty available. After sitting to wait for them to "officially open" (still not sure I understand that statement) and looking over the menu, we were unimpressed and decided to leave. The prices were not all that great, atmosphere was not anything to brag about, location is in a very dead/almost abandoned shopping center, and nothing on the menu stood out. We went two blocks back toward the hotel to a Mom and Pop type restaraunt and had a great meal, very friendly service, and reasonable prices. Felt like they appreciated our business, unlike Snappy's. This hotel allows dogs. I do not have a problem with that as I am a dog lover myself. However there should be a weight limit and the dogs should not be left alone in the room unless kenneled/crated. Hotel location was great. Our room was clean, beds comfortable, and staff very helpful. Pool area was small and had a strong chlorine smell. Free breakfast was nice - the waffle mix to make your own waffles was very good. Bacon would have been a nice touch. Overall, we would stay here again.

Old, small TVs, worn furniture/carpet, and musty smelling A/C made our stay unenjoyable. Nice location, good breakfast and friendly service were pluses, but not enough to outweigh other deficiencies. Hotel needs a makeover - I would not return or recommend as is.

I had a suite for 4 nights. I found the room to be comfortable and clean. For the price, I found nothing to complain about. In particular, the maid did a great job - she got tipped well. I stayed in this hotel previously about 5 years ago. It was nicer this time. The next time I visit WNC I can definitely see myself reserving a room here again.

when we checked in I noticed a few items that needed to be addressed. I reported it to the front desk. The sink in the room was stopped up. I reported it and it was not repaired. There were 2 beds in the room. In the middle of the sheet on one of the beds there was a stain. First the bad stuff: The exterior of the hotel is shabby. The continental breakfast is poor and there was not enough room for the guests to get their food and sit down.
