It was handily close to the convention center for the conference I was attending. I liked that there would have been free parking is I had a rental car. "showing it's age"

"Nothing Special"
This hotel was nothing special at all. It wasn't located immediately near anything. All the outlets in the room wouldn't hold the cords, so slowly the cords fell out and left me with no charge on my phone, laptop, or nook. Additionally, the housekeepers didn't clean my room. "Double Tree at Convention Center - Virginia Beach"
The hotel and the staff were great. The Max & Erma's restaurant inside is nothing to brag about. You are next to the Convention Center, which is great if you have a Conference there. I booked my room for one night two months in advance and when I found out that I would be staying more than one night, I called less than two weeks later to book an additional room. "Great stay but not great sleep"
My friend and I had a very pleasant stay at this hotel. The staff was extremely helpful and friendly, the room was clean and it was very convenient for the race activities we were there for. Unfortunately, the a/c in the room was the only thing that left us with a bad taste in our mouth.
