Please, please clean the side walls of the jacuzzi. They are white but are stained black! Please extend the hours that the pool and jacuzzi are available. Open earlier, close later. The carpet in our room was a little work and there were some stains on the bathroom wall (or tears in the wallpaper - I didn't explore too closely). Otherwise, it was ok. "No air conditioning- No service"
We came down on a Friday night so we would be able to make it to Magic Springs when they opened the next day to make the most of our family get away. I was satisfied with the hotel upon check-in. I noticed that our room was warm but it was very hot that day and assumed it would cool off as the evening went on. It did not! After our 4-year-old was already […] asleep, we noticed our air conditioner was not working properly. I went down to the front desk at about 11:30pm and asked for a fan. The staff person informed me that they did not have one. I asked if we could change rooms but leave our belongings in our current room so that I didn't have to wake up my child to gather everything up. I just wanted to pick her up (hopefully still sleeping) and move her. The staff person quite rudely informed me that was not possible. This basically left us no choice but to stay in our hot room. It was a miserable night! I also noticed that the hot tub was very old and dingy and many of the snack machines were empty- so one had to go to other floors to get snacks. The breakfast was decent. "Easy access to everything."
Love the hotel, but the air conditioner was not on when we arrived and the room was very hot, and it did cool very well at all. They were out of the chocolate chip cookies and the full breakfast was only so so. There is a bar/grill next door that was very busy, but there was no noise. "Hot Springs....watch out for the maids!!!!!"
We recently spent three nights at the Country Inn and Suites in Hot Springs. When we checked into our room, we noticed it seemed a little warm, but figured it would cool off with the air on high. After going out for a few hours, we came back to a sweltering room! We called the desk and they did immedicately move us to another room. This room had significant […] water damage.....including some spots in the bathroom that looked suspiciously like mold. We were on the top floor, so the damage had to be due to a roof leak. The wallpaper in the bathroom was coming down, and there were even water damage spots above the bed. The worst problem, however, was the horribly rude maids! They would just open the door and walk into your room without even knocking! After the second morning of this, we just had them give us clean towels and leave. The breakfast was good, although the breakfast area was very small and crowded. The desk clerks were overall very nice, except for the fact that I had to wait 5 minutes for one to come in from smoking out front so I could check out. Cons: The air in my room was not working properly. I called the front desk and after telling the guy the air was not working that it was set at 65 but felt like 80 and […] kept shutting off. He told me it was supposed to shut off??? What? I told him I need a fan and he did give me one but I had to go get it. he next morning I called after sweating all night and they sent a maint person which fixed the problem. The room was nice and clean and the hotel was in a pretty central location, lots of parking space.
