Hampton Inn Clackamas

Everything about our stay was great w/one minor exception. The staff were friendly a d helpful, everything g was clean and well maintained, the breakfast was plentiful and good, great access to the highway both directions. The only thing that keeps me from posting all stars was not being able to use the beautiful hot tub. This was the reason we booked […] this place over another hotel another exit away. It was Mother's Day weekend and wanted to relax in the hot tub. My husband and I head done to the tub early on Sunday morning only to find an out of order for maintenance sign on the door. Very friendly front desk staff; great selection for breakfast with coffee even for us NW coffee snobs acceptable; has a hot tub which was unfortunately overloaded with ladies coming to a Mary Kay convention. Despite many groups of cheerleaders etc., the hotel was very quiet. Disappointed there was no fridge in the room, otherwise very comfortable bed […] and easy chair. The hotel was very nice we were able to check in early that which was nice cause we came in from an 3 hr drive so we could actually relax . The room was so cute was perfect for my boyfriend and I. The bed was so comfortable and really could just relax I definatly would stay at this hotel again .

Overall, the Hampton Inn is a solid place to stay and I choose them almost exclusively on travel. This particular one had a few of items that I wasn't pleased with - particularly several of the TV channels didn't come in and the guide for the channels was a different time zone than west coast. I was really shocked when checking in for my room how clean this hotel was inside and out. I stay in many hotels traveling for work and have gotten use to the little things like wallpaper peeling off, caulk that is just heaped on to fix bathrooms, coffee that has sat too long, and other little issues; this place has none of the above.

We had a very positive experience here. Customer service was excellent, they went out of their way to make us feel welcome and cared for. It is a pretty crowded space (small-ish rooms, the breakfast area right on top of the check-in desk, narrow hallways). That being said, customer service, breakfasts, and other amenities made up for the tight spaces. […] It is located within walking distance of Fred Meyer and just a short drive north to the Clackamas Mall where good restaurants can be found. The highway to Mt.Hood is right there and you can see the mountain on a clear day. The neighborhood is not conducive to walking or running (not aesthetically attractive, busy roads). I stay here everytime I'm in the Oregon City/Clackamas area on business. Doesn't have a lot of children running the halls like other motels in the area. Breakfast is a full spread with lots of items and restocked frequently.
