We drove in from a long 6 hour ride with my 6month old. Got in around 11pm and the service was terrible. The lady at the front acted like We were a complete and total bother while huffing a puffing the entire time. When I asked which way to our room she didn't even look up and pointed in a direction. I looked to see who the manager on staff was and […] sure enough it was the same name on her name tag. As also being a person that works in customer service I was very disappointed. I didn't expect a red carpet or anything. I suppose I am just used to a smile and welcome when checking into a hotel. We will be making monthly trips to portland to see family here on out and I definitely will not being staying here again. Read more

The best part of the hotel is the complementary breakfast. The room we got didn't have a fridge otherwise, it's good enough for the price. The person behind the desk is very courteous which is quite contrary to the rest of the hotel workers, i.e. room service personnel, etc.

Serviceable hotel. Good location for SE Portland area. Room is on small side. Breakfast was OK but nothing out of the ordinary. Bed was just plain hard. Too hard to get a good nights rest.

The bathroom was smaller than the other Hampton's we have stayed in. We felt the quality of this Hampton Hotel, in our experience, was below the standard we have come to expect for a Hampton. The bed was very comfortable!

After a long day of travel, having a desk clerk that was rude and impatient was not my idea of a pleasant welcome. However our overall visit to your hotel was ok. Always enjoy the nice breakfast you provide.

I was pleasantly surprised with the hotel. It was selected strictly on location without looking at the other ratings. The equipment in the exercise room was in good condition, the breakfast was good and the room was clean and quiet.

Enjoyed our stay, 4 in the room, a little small for that many adults. No DVD player. Room clean, beds comfy and the best of all, is good breakfast. Omelets, sausage, potatoes, muffins, cereals, waffles, fruit, etc. Location behind a Denney's Restaurant but found it.

What I will remember most about this hotel is the road noise from the freeway. I wasn't sure I'd be able to sleep. However, the party next door at 1 am was louder than the road noise. I tried to complain to the front desk but the phone in my room didn't work so I had to call using my cell phone. They did take care of the problem immediately, and said […] they would repair the phone. I also pulled open a drawer and the knob was broken and fell off, and there was no phone book in the room. I also noticed there were no plastic bags in the garbage cans. Is this just part of hotel's economizing? I haven't seen it anywhere else. The staff was great but I was left with an impression of economy and minimal maintenance. I liked that Denny's was right across the parking lot, though, with Fred Meyer's a block away. Hilton please take care of your hotels!!! Very squishy in hotel rooms, should at least provide mini fridge could be useful for small families! Please caulk your tubs! Service however was exceptional...very friendly night manager...greeted us with a smile when we arrived late night...we needed extra towels and by the time we got back to our rooms they […] were already there!!! We've stayed at Hampton Inns before but this one doesn't seem to be up to the usual standards. The 2-queen rooms were very small, tried to pull 2 chairs up to the desk to use our laptops and the chair got wedged between the air conditioner and the bed with no room to walk. Our room faced the northbound 205 onramp, so we were kept awake by the rumbling […] acceleration of vehicles all night long. The outdated aluminum frame windows are badly in need of updating to newer vinyl windows for better sound insulation. I'm pretty easy going and don't demand much, but accessibility by car is a must when I book a hotel. The Portland city crew started paving the main road on a Sunday night and showed no mercy to Hampton guests who needed to return to their rooms. We made 4 attempts at the suggested 5 mile detour through unpaved backroads to come through the back of the property. Our GPS kept on telling us to return to the freeway which was useless. OK for a 4x4 but not so good in a sports sedan with limited ground clearance. Not really the hotel's fault I thought, so we let it go. Once packed up the next morning, we left skid marks and couldn't wait to leave but our troubles didn't stop there. Although fully paid through Expedia, Hampton Inns charged us again for our stay in error. The front desk denied the charge when I was staring right at it on my online statement but did transfer me to someone else who was able to clear up the double-charge. Left Portland with a headache! Great place to stay...have stayed many years, as convenient, close to Olive Garden, Target, Nordstrom, Clackamas Mall, Fred Meyer. The only drawback, starting to get shabby.
