"Convenient to hospital"
Inexpensive and convenient to the hospital where I spent most of my time during and after husband's surgery. Needed my own pillow, but otherwise the room was comfortable enough for what I needed. "Turn before the 205 highway, else take a ride."
It's sort of a pain to get into the parking lot. If you miss the turn you may have to get on the highway, which if you just take the first exit you can double back on a side road easily. For the rate, it was excellent.....including the continental breakfast each morning, and a newspaper! This is an adequate 2 star hotel. It was close to 205, so easy freeway access and is close to mall and close to a lot of restaurant choices. The room very small - not much room to more around. "Just Enough Room"
I don't expect much from roadside hotels, so there was nothing to be too disappointed about. "Nice family vacation in Portland"
Had a great stay. For the price this was an excellent deal and I found that the location was centrally located enough. The continental breakfast had the typical with a waffle maker, hard boiled eggs, cereal and pastries. Our room was clean, the matresses are firm but I slept great, our room was on the backside but I couldn't hear any noise. I appreciated […] all the cameras in the parking lot and felt like my car was pretty safe. The hot tub/exercise room was okay, I think it would be too humid to work out in, but maybe extra sweating would be good. I traveled with 3 small children and recommend, Mt. Scott Community Pool (foster exit), Chuck E Cheese (powell exit), pdx playdate (in pearl district down town) and OMSI. We took the public transit a lot, we caught the max at Clackamas once, but later I found I preferred driving to the Gateway transit center (It is a 7-8 minute drive) since there are 3 max lines that go through there. Driving is the easiest way to get to a lot of places, but to the airport or downtown I prefer the max. Near the hotel is a german restaurant called Gustav's, I highly recommend the happy hour, it is from 3-6 and after 9pm, you don't have to be in a bar and it is for all ages. The room was very small we had difficulty finding room for both of our suitcases. I think this room was best suited to one or two night stays. We were here one night on our way to a wedding the next day and it was fine for that use. The breakfast had lots of choices.
