"JMU right around the corner."
Overall, it was great. Staff was friendly and courteous and tended to our needs. Rooms were clean and were a decent size. Came with a refrigerator, microwave and coffee maker. I would recommend getting your coffee from the Starbucks down the block from the hotel as the coffee in the hotel just didn't do it for me. The continental breakfast was okay […] and provided the usual fare: cereal, donuts, french toast, and make your own waffles. Just wish the beds were a bit more comfortable and that the people who were drinking right outside our window (since we were on the 1st floor) were dealt with sooner than later. That incident was late at night and prevented us from getting a good night's sleep. Other than that, JMU was right around the corner which is why we chose the hotel we did. I gave this Days Inn a "5" because it was a fabulous value for the price. (I paid via hotels.com and got a great price.) To be sure, this is not the Four Seasons, but here is what I liked: (1) Major convenience for the traveler in need of a resting spot, located right off of Exit 245 on I-81. "Great Place"
Lots of HOT water. Wonderful hot tub and indoor pool. Clean room and no odors in our non-smoking room. They even have an alarm to stop anyone from smoking in the room! I was a bit reluctant booking a room after reading some comments. I was pleased that the room was clean and all the amenities were present. The front desk employees were pleasant and helpful. "Great for JMU visit"
My son and I were visiting JMU and stayed overnight afterwards. The hotel was practically on campus and we were able to walk back over to campus after we checked in to see the new Rec Center and the to go through the tunnel back to the main campus. "Better Than I expected!!"
The hotel was really nice esp. for the cheap rate! The beds were really comfortable did not toss and turn one bit! the pillows were nice and fluffy and had three per bed! not the standard 2! Which I loved! We brought a few of our own pillows along but did not even bother sleeping on them! The shower was good. The water pressure was amazing! I am so […] use to going to motels and having a trickle of water coming out for the shower. They even have a Sauna Room and a small indoor pool! Next time I'm bringing my bathing suit! The Contiental Breakfast was really good! They offered Waffles, Bagles, Cereal, fruit, Oatmeal, Biscuits and Gravy, Toast and had Water, Coffee, Juice, and Orange juice to drink. It was really nice. The room was really clean and smelled clean. The sheets where soft, and white, not old and dingy. The room had plenty of towels and there were 5 of us! The room also had a fridge and microwave, coffee pot, safe, iron and ironing board and the most comfortable wingback chair and 2 other chairs w/ a table. It was a great stay. Just off Interstate 81, this hotel is perfect! Friendly staff, plenty of parking, being dog friendly is important to us as our little guy always goes with us.Elevators work very well.
