"Poor service"
Needed to check in an hour early. I called ahead the day before and was promised a 2 hour early check-in. When I arrived only an hour before check-in I was not allowed in a room. The front desk then argued with me over the exact wording of our conversation the day before and basically told me tough luck. Decent place for your money besides that. "Perfect location, very disappointing hotel"
The Days Inn in Harrisonburg is undergoing renovations. It probably should not be open with its current condition. Reno materials were in the halls. Bathroom parts were stored beside the building. Landscaping was dead and covered with construction dirt and debris. Electrical outlets were missing covers. Hallways were being prepped for painting. "Close to JMU campus"
The hotel was undegoing major renovations. Had I known that at the time of booking, I would not have stayed there. The only quality it had worth mentioning was it's proximity to the JMU Conference Center, where I needed to set up a display booth the evening of 6/19 and attend the next two days. When I checked in and went to my room, it was dirty, door […] was ajar, and the AC didn't work. It took two calls and a trip back to the front desk to get my room changed. "they never cleaned the room during stay and didn't seem to care..workers filled parking lot. AWFUL!"
The moment my husband and son arrived at the room, they were overwhelmed by an awful odor. The halls smelled too. Once they were staying there the room was never cleaned for the second night's stay. they returned late after dinner and a day @JMU and couldn't request cleaning @ 10 pm..so they went to desk for new towels and called it a night. People […] @ desk didn't care. Also, workers in the area live there and fill the parking lot and guests returning late in the day have to park out on the street!
