"Adequate for our needs"

I stayed overnight before an alumni event at a local university. The room was a good size and clean. I didn't use it, but it was nice to have a mini fridge. The shower was great (awesome water pressure), but don't leave your stuff on the toilet next to the shower... it will get wet (flimsy shower curtain). The walls were thin - the person in the room […] next to me had the TV on and I could hear every word, as if it was on in my room. "Beautiful common areas - very musty room"
The lobby, breakfast areas and other common areas in this hotel are beautiful, far beyond what I would expect from a Comfort Inn. They've clearly been renovated recently. However, our room #152, and other room that we checked out, had a horrible musty smell that was coming from an AC unit that had visible mold on the outlet slats. We arrived around […] midnight it was so bad that my wife wanted to leave. I'm not very sensitive to smells and got used to it, but every time I returned to the room it would hit me again. Anyway, it was a busy football weekend and we arrived late, so it's possible that we got a room that isn't usually occupied. If so, it might be that the AC units are usually off and that the water in the units has warmed and mold has grown. Regardless, they really need to do something about it.
